February 24, 200917 yr Fire runes and willows, Fire's stay at 8-9 Gp and willow stays at 18-19\\ Yet both are in mASSIVE SUPPLY, and the GE doesn't reflect it. I'd love to unload say 20k fires or willows for 5gp or 15gp respectivly, but the system won't adjust.. Does this mean bottom prices? Never knew it until now.. Is that the case or what?
February 24, 200917 yr i think jagex is just keeping the prices fair for the people supplying the product, because if not fires and willows would both fall 2 1 gp, this will also allow an unfair advantage for people trying 2 skill Drops:2x Dragon Chain, 8x Dragon Platelegs, 3x Dragon PlateskirtsRecently Demoted to F2P, now getting 99 attack via giant spiders
February 24, 200917 yr Nothing's ever free. ;) SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
February 24, 200917 yr Author Not really that much, but I see what you're saying. However, WIllows DONT SELL. There's probably like a billion of them sitting to sell, never selling, etc. So this confirs there is bottom prices on the GE, thanks. Free tradE? FREE TRADE IS DEAD BOYCOTT!
February 24, 200917 yr Actually it's because you can buy them from NPC's, all magic runes and the spirit shards for summoning are all the same prices as from the NPC's. Now for the willows idk the answer to that. February 24, 200917 yr Willows can be cut f2p and p2p which makes them much higher in supply. Autos cut these to 60 for yews because they are the fastest exp/hr and are located next to a bank. Auto's sell on GE for money and boom such a high amount of supply and no demand. If they dropped anymore they proberly would be under alch value which jagex dosn't allow so that is why they are steady. February 24, 200917 yr There is a similar inexplicable floor for blood runes. It's about time that Jagex starts making items sell on the ge for fractions of a gp (rounded of course for the final transaction).
February 24, 200917 yr Because Jagex said so. That's your reason right there. You will notice the same for gold bars and other high supply- low demand items. Else they would become too cheap. Some products also have a price limit that is determined by their store price, like some runes and summoning shards. The store price of Runes is based of GE No it's not. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
February 24, 200917 yr me runes and summoning shards. The store price of Runes is based of GE No it's not. But if you sell to general store it is. Price floors on almost every item. Check broken barrows weapons (Ahrim's staff. Verac's Flail, etc.) Drops: Misc: Abyssal Whip x28 , Dark Bow x5, Beserker Ring x3, Warrior ring x1 Dragon: Dragon Platelegs x2 , Dragon Plateskirt x2, Dragon Boots x38, Dragon Med Helm x4, Shield left half x3 Godwars: Godsword shard x13, Bandos Hilt x3, Bandos Chestplate x6, Bandos Tassets x4, Bandos Boots x5, Saradomin Sword x1, Zamorakian Spear x1,. February 24, 200917 yr Bloody ridiculous that they insist on breaking the economy like that with floors and ceilings, absolutely no goddamn need for it and it jars me to no end that they veiled it all behind RWT, I've never seen a good official explanation by Jagex for either such tight limits(like 5% each way, limited change in a day, floors and ceilings) nor why they aren't bigger. There needs to be more range imo, and yes it *could* allow for some RWT with ridiculous kinds of trades, but they can easily build a system to flag weirdly unbalanced trades through the GE, surely?
February 24, 200917 yr Even with free trade, fires and willows were this cheap. Why is there whining here.

As long as trading is done through the GE the RWT isn't an issue as you can't guarantee who gets what for what. Trust the Gene Genie!
February 27, 200917 yr Even with free trade, fires and willows were this cheap. Why is there whining here. That they were also even cheaper, that's the point issue and problem. Bloody ridiculous that they insist on breaking the economy like that with floors and ceilings, absolutely no goddamn need for it and it jars me to no end that they veiled it all behind RWT, I've never seen a good official explanation by Jagex for either such tight limits(like 5% each way, limited change in a day, floors and ceilings) nor why they aren't bigger. As long as trading is done through the GE the RWT isn't an issue as you can't guarantee who gets what for what. Ah, that's the 'reason' for the limits, to stop me from putting up 978 willow logs for 187gp each, something nice and precise could make it much easier for someone to 'find' my trade and get the out of proportion 'wealth transfer' that they like to refer to. However, I believe they limits should be allowed to move wider, that ceilings and floors are well out of line and just an attempt to control their economy(i have obvious suspicions as to why also), and I think it's a crappy situation that they've put to us as a saving grace under the veil of a scapegoat. I'm not saying RWT wasn't an issue mind, just saying I think they've stealthily used it to change things to their own advantage.
February 27, 200917 yr Like you said they have massive market, so everyday people buy/sell loads of them, which makes the price estabilize ;)
February 27, 200917 yr Honestly if they dropped the floor then things would crash to 1 GP but as they crashed people would see them and start buying left and right. Willows for super cheep fletch and FM xp and fire runes for magic XP. As they are bought up by the skillers and inevitable merchants they will grow in price again to the stable area they are now.
February 27, 200917 yr Besides price floors there are also price ceilings on items. For instance, Chaos runes at 137 gp. I think the reason for this is because you can buy infinite amounts of them in rune shops for 140 gp each. As for price floors, it's due to the sellback to stores. Fire runes can actually be sold to rune shops for 10 gp each, but the money you get quickly falls once you've sold a couple hundred. I believe Willows also have an artificial price floor because of a similar thing.
February 27, 200917 yr The GE was made to take items and money out of the economy. If they did it with a money costing skill everyone would go bonkers. Now they can just make a few items and sell them on the GE, effectively taking cash out of the game and no one is the wiser. The RWT thing was just smoke and mirrors.
February 27, 200917 yr Its because there is a steady flow of those items going in and out, there isnt a large supply demand ratio. It cuts pretty even.
