I haven't played this game in forever, but Saturday night I played for a few hours with some really good friends of mine that live far away. I was screaming the entire time, and all I used was a class I made for fast running and stabbing. [bleep]ing hilarious. I even got a few kills where I ran straight at them and moved fast enough that I got the person, but mostly I just got them by running into them and being faster.

 

But seriously. It's a complete [bleep] thing to do, but I did amazing every game - always 30+ kills. I got a lot of deaths of course, but usually 5-10 less deaths than kills. I was laughing so hard. My voice is still gone from it.

This is my only play style, except I use USP tac knife since I haven't unlocked magnum yet. I've regularly been at least 3rd in FFA matches now that I'm used to it and know when to use the throwing knife as well. There's really no point to me having a primary weapon. I tried using the riot shield to cover my [wagon] from behind, but that slowed down it seemed.

I played for 4 hours today and saw nothing of the sort. Also asked some friends about it and they have heard nothing of it as well. I would be willing to bet it's ok to play, just do not go to any private matches. This is were the glitches are coming from.

It still amuses me that Infinity Ward is completely unable to prevent pirates from playing on their "secure" network. Sure, we've only been able to keep pirates away from dedicated servers for over 10 years now (CD key check, lol) but IW still isn't quite grasping the basics.

 

For those who don't know with 1.0.175 and now 1.0.177 apparently it was thought that IW had fixed the issue of pirates being able to play online. However someone just found a workaround and, while I won't post the entire thing (it is simple as [bleep] to do) it pretty much surmounts to being "offline" on steam friends...

 

I mean, really? haha. Not sure why I bothered with the work around though, the game was fun to [bleep] around with a bit for a couple of weeks but it's gotten stale and the [cabbage] amount has just gotten higher. I still stand by that having such overpowering killstreaks are just stupid. Sure, rewarding a player a UAV or an ammo drop or something for killing a number of players, that's cool and fine. However rewarding someone a huge [wagon] chopper with thermal sights and unlimited ammunition in what surmounts to, at most, a 16 player game is just goddamned [developmentally delayed]ed haha.

 

 

Still I felt it was at least good to give MW2 a fair trial (even if it was a pirated, free one) and I still stand by my convictions I started with -- it's not a great game. There are concepts that are solid but it's mostly just a cluster**** of bad ideas and unmemorable maps. So while it was refreshing to switch paces in an FPS for a while (last few I've played a lot were TF2 and UT3) that is all it really was. I think I'll just wait until FA:S and BF:BC2 are out.

Totally agree lol I've gone back to cod4 on 360 because there aren't [bleep]ing [bleep]s running around with a care package marker stabbing you from 85 metres away, I mean like, cod4 actually had some realism to i.

Heh it's far past Halo 3. I mean at least Halo stayed focus on the shooting and any vehicles were balanced (fairly, never really played 3). MW2 is just ridiculous in so many ways.

Whenever I get frustrated at MW2 I camp in hardcore TD and just snipe everyone, and they have no f'ing idea where I am because there are no nooby killcams! :twisted:

Well there has GOT to be new Spec ops missions. That would be epic. Also new maps definitely, maybe new weapons/killstreaks/attachments/challenges? All of that in one DLC would be awesome :thumbup:

... why? Then it would be just like the first modern warfare. Deathstreaks are a perfect balance. In MW1, I got killed all the time by martyrdom; and I've probably been been killed by martyrdom... 2 or 3 times in MW2. Painkiller is also a good anti-spawn trapping tool, because it gives people a chance to get by you when they need it. I don't really understand what it is about deathstreaks you don't like.

 

Thermal: what's not to like about this? If you can use it, use it. I have a sniper set up w/ thermal but in all honesty I snipe better without it (which is why I have a non-thermal set up). I also never use thermal on any regular weapons and rarely get killed by people who use it on them.

 

Heart beat Sensors: This can be annoying, but nothing THAT bad. I normally do very well when I play regardless if people on the other team use heart beat sensors or not.

 

Commando: I don't mind commando at all unless they have that God forsaken Marathon/Lightweight/Commando setup.

 

Killstreaks: Kind of blows my mind why you don't like the way killstreaks are set up. I love being able to mix and match which killstreaks I am able to use (although I normally use predator/harrier/chopper gunner. Nuke's annoy me. Only because I think they're a complete waste of a killstreak option and WHY in the world would you want to cut a game early? Just don't get it.

No. Deathstreaks are such a stupid idea, it gives across the opinion the IW staff were mad as they sucked at their own game, really; why award someone for being garbage? If they suck at the game, it's up to them to work to become better, they shouldn't be given some ridiculously overpowered almost god-mode. I don't care about the other deathstreaks, just painkiller is pathetic, it often screws me up when on killstreaks and such because it sometimes take 3 shots to the head to kill someone? That's really fair huh.

 

Well, being a good sniper. What is there to like? Thermal, once again has been put into the game to cater for the noobs/idiots who suck. I shouldn't have to give up my one hit kill with my Intervention just to prevent being seen by some no-skill idiot, once again, learn to snipe properly, or don't snipe at all.

 

Heartbeat sensors, see above. It's not as bad, but it's still there.

 

Knifing is already screwed up enough as it is, they really didn't have to throw in some ridiculous perk which allows you to knife someone when you're 90 meters away. Plus you shouldn't be able to use it in sync with lightweight/marathon, this is a freaking shooting game. Not some ninja crap.

 

I don't want all killstreaks gone, just needs some fixing or tweaking. For example; a bad player who is using a care package, shouldn't be able to get a high level killstreak such as a Chopper Gunner or an AC130, which are already overpowered enough with the way the locked on weapons stupidly fly off in different directions. They shouldn't be able to not be hit aswell as being so strong. Another thing - counter UAV. Why is this such a low streak? It whipes out virtually the one thing on your HUD you need, at such a small price. Oh and predators are stupid too, as they always hit me and nobody else.

 

Tbh I really don't care if you can't see why I don't like those things, being a good player I was just voicing my opinion lol.

HBS needs to go, definitely. It sucks because even with Ninja Pro, I'm still showing up on someone's HBS. Being able to get a Chopper Gunner/AC-130 from a care package is just [developmentally delayed]ed, especially when I sometimes use a care package and get a ammo resupply every time -.-

Which reminds me, it shouldn't even be possible to be spawn camped. Also, care packages are flawed as other people can take them too.

Someone can't take a chopper gunner that wasnt earned by luck of the draw.

 

Care Packages aren't that hard to keep if you dont use them as soon as you get it and stand right under it.

Call in Care Package, die, someone takes your Chopper Gunner.

Which is even more stupid as someone who did NOTHING gets rewarded instead of someone who got an amazing 3 kill streak!
