Which is even more stupid as someone who did NOTHING gets rewarded instead of someone who got an amazing 3 kill streak!

Yes you should. It's not very hard to hold on to one, your teamates can always pick it up when you die, and the battles that start over a care package can be pretty intense, especially when there's a big one at stake.

I think IW found the perfect balance in Mw2. My one complaint is the [bleep]ing lobby. That is [developmentally delayed]ed.

 

And marathon + lightweight + commando wins + throwing knife wins. Just deal with being knifed.

Yeah you're right. I have so much fun when I spawn and get popped by some guys Chopper gunner with unlimited ammo. Balance is fun because it is fair.

 

At the very least in CoD4 the most "overpowering" killstreak you had was an airstrike. It was solid at times, sure, but it popped once and that was it. These new killstreaks are like having a continuous airstrike, capable of being precision aimed (with thermal of course) and last for a number of minutes.

 

 

I do disagree though and say death streaks (maybe not painkiller) were a solid idea, that is for a "pub" style game. Copycat was probably the one death streak that was actually a good idea, as it lets you get a chance to give a better weapon a shot and hopefully do better, or at least relieve a bit of frustration.

 

Really though, MW2 has just turned into this game where everyone has super powers. You have people who cannot be heard, you have people who can lunge 10 meters and one shot kill stab someone. You have people capable of running around with 2 large shotguns and fire them with minimal recoil and reload them incredibly quickly. You have people who can fall off of a 100 foot story building and not take damage. You have people who can magically get new weapons and "setups" whenever they want, and those people also apparently [cabbage] bullets because they are able to have a full, new clip every time they do switch. You also have soldiers who are able to command a goddamned nuke.

 

Aside from that the game has the worst spawning system in the history of FPS's. You had better spawn protection in Team Fortress classic. You had better spawn protection in the original unreal tournament.

The game is no doubt incredibly fun. However, as posted above me, the spawn system makes me angry. Haha. I hate spawning outside when there's a chopper gunner right above me.

Also, didn't they balance the Models a while back? I have yet to see anything that makes them more fair.

You don't show up, it's a glitch that shows it in killcam only.

Shotguns as a secondary suck.

I got a PS3 and Modern Warfare 2 the other day. I haven't set up my internet connection on the PS3 yet, so I haven't played multiplayer, but the campaign and spec ops are awesome. I've beaten campaign on recruit and I'm half way through on hardened and have about 30 stars in spec ops.

The fact that you show up on the HBS in the killcam is a Glitch. They really cant see you.

I think the HBS is fairly useless.

Not to mention it's included in a game that tries to remotely resemble realism and it completely contradicts that.

I'm not even sure how it got the reviews it did, unless there was money being passed under the table. This game is a steaming pile at best.

 

And rocco, tell us how many of them actually bought it because they genuinely enjoyed CoD4, or bought it because their friends did, and by extension, the amount of kids that had to have their parents get it.

Don't hate on the riot shield! Hate on the fact that people can be aiming a meter to the right of me with akimbo rangers and still kill me!

It really annoys me that the past 5 pages are filled with pointless rants.

 

Why are you people ranting about 'overpowered' weapons and killstreaks? Don't you know how to adapt? That's how you get good ratios in games.

 

If there is a guy with commando on knifing everyone around the map with lightweight on, use a gun with a heartbeat sensor. Then he can't sneak up on you.

 

If you are getting killed by chopper gunner/AC130 the second you spawn then why don't you put on cold blooded.

 

If someone is hunting you out with a heartbeat sensor, put ninja on.

 

If someone is killing you with 'overpowered' shotguns then why don't you change to a sniper class.

 

If your getting sniped then why don't you counter snipe.

 

If you keep dying, then why don't you stop rushing into the battlefield, expecting to get a 10 killstreak. It almost never works.

 

If your getting killed by a riot shield, quickly jump behind the guy and slice him in the back (or change to a class with noobtoob or plasma grenade)

 

If you think you died in a knife fight because of your BS connection, it was probably just because you suck. There I said it.

 

If the enemy team is aggressive, then find a good spot to camp and take them out.

 

If the enemy team is defensive, then find a low profile way to infiltrate their spawn without being spotted.

 

Stop complaining about the killstreak rewards. ALL killstreak rewards can be avoided with the exception of the nuke and EMPs (which, of course, happen very rarely). UAVs can't find you with cold blooded on. Counter-UAV may blind your map but you can still use a heartbeat sensor to find enemies. A sentry gun can't find you with cold blooded on. A predator missle can't find you with cold blooded on (provided you stay away from allies). A hind can't find you with cold blooded, neither can a chopper gunner, or an AC130, or a Pave low.

 

Stop complaining about deathstreak rewards. All of them are ridiculously easy to avoid. Pain killer happens very rarely, and you can easily take out a guy with it if you hide and wait for him to pass you. Matyrdom is easy to avoid: just run away from the dumb body. Final stand is easy to avoid... surely you all are used to last stand by now, it isn't that much different, you just shoot the dumb guy when he's downed.

 

I use all these methods and have a 2.5 KD ratio. Now stop complaining. The game isn't overpowered, there are just certain weapons that kick the crap out of others, you just need to find a weapon that beats the crap out of your enemy's weapon.

Nice Mario, couldnt have put it anybetter my self and dont you people use a stinger? can shoot down all killstreaks, and the AC 130 is sooo easy to avoid if you think... everything has a counter thing to it, you just have to use them, stop complaining about HBS and use one! Thermal is pathetically bad on 60% of the maps.

IMO, unless you have a sniper rifle or riot shield (Or if it's a TK runner), then a stinger should be your secondary weapon.

 

I mean is there really a reason for a machine pistol when you have a fully automatic assault rifle?

Started playing multiplayer yesterday. I sucked really badly at first, but in recent games I've had a K/D of about 1. Still getting used to it, but it's really fun.

Lol I rely on the enemies to stubbornly only use one setup... and most the time they do.

 

I was curious to see if enemies/teammates were smarter in Hardcore matches, and BOY, they are all veterans in hardcore, no [cabbage] like you see in core TD every match. Enemies are ruthless, and I like that challenge. There are no nooby killcams, which was the number one thing that gave away my position. Plus all guns kill anyone in 3 bullets or less. Best of all, teammates aren't stupid! (well, most of the time). I'm playing hardcore a lot more now.

 

Anyone play hardcore or do you just stick to core?
