August 6, 200520 yr People are submitted to stereotypes quite often, yet heres proof that many of them are wrong. Most people dont think of Guitar players as black, yet Jimmy Hendrix probably the best guitar players ever was black. People dont think of (good) rappers as white, yet someone in a group called Atmosphere is hands down the best freestyle rapper I've ever heard, and hes white. Elvis Pressly the greatest performer of all time sung mostly soul music. If you can think of any more good examples please post them.
August 6, 200520 yr Sadly, I thought this topic might be...kinda interesting, judging from the name. Apparently not. Many things/people destroy stereotypes easily, which is why its called stereotypes in the first place. No matter what, under no circumstance can you judge a group of people purely based on the actions of others. It just doesn't work like that, period. However, to be honest, I've taken a liking to this "gangster" stereotype. I wear big clothes and whatnot, and its just amazing how so many people think you're going to rob them, and it even goes as far as people crossing the street when you're walking out during the night. It's quite amusing to think people are actually scared of me because of the way I dress. Just shows how stupid stereotypes really are... Hopefully we've salvaged this topic, somehow. Bmw

August 7, 200520 yr No steriotypes are 100% true. In rare cases you'll have one with a high percentage of true cases but you'll always find exeptions... In alot of cases the exeptions are more common then the streotype. Theres not that many well known streotypes about people like me and the ones that do exist have so little truth to them its entertaining (Especially when someone who is high on something, probably cocain is screeming them in a hotel lobby, but thats a story for anouther place).

Bmw Hmm but I've seen this go in really odd places, now I'm seeing more and more small 13 year old boys wear Tall T's, take every step with their hand in their crotch, and I've heard one of them say "busta cap in yo [wagon]" Now take into consideration these boys are about 4ft tall, with massive head, and weigh about 50 lbs....funny when you think about it...sad when you see it... And Hannibal relax, its an offtopic forum about a game. If you seriously believe that correct spelling and grammer are absolutly needed here then by all means.

August 13, 200520 yr In alot of cases the exeptions are more common then the streotype. I'd disagree with that; stereotypes exist because they are often true. I may sound like a dolt for saying that but I do think the exceptions to stereotypes are not as common as you may think. You only think about it for others when it's an exception and likewise, you think of the ones that affect you subconciously,, and most likely, you live up to it. Bam, you're a stereotypical whatever-you-are. It's a shame though, because stereotypes are perpetuated almost by the sheer existence of themselves. ~witty P.S.
