your total level sucks!

Well i'm finally bored of people saying my total level is a failure for my combat level. i have 1298 total and 125 (f2p) combat. And yes my skills are insanely low (3 lvl 1s; farming, hunter, summoning), but total level is not directly proportional to total level. Obviously it has an effect on total to some degree.

 

 

 

I am bored of people looking up my stats and going; you fail! it's utter (cabbage). Perhaps you didnt realise that i spend time doing what i most like on runescape, melee combat and bosses and barrows, rather than spend 75 minutes waiting for a herb to grow. I mean if you enjoy farming, then you have far more patience than me and i commend you for it, i'm not going to come up to you and say; you fail! just because you beat me in a skill.

 

 

 

I find this funny as I do not ever call someone a fail, but i seem to get called it all the time, despite having four skill capes and being 7m cash from the 5th (prayer). Also maybe people don't seem to realise that I like spending my time doing a single skill until i reach my goal in it, hence why i have 18m+ atk xp.

 

 

 

I don't force you to do something you don't want to, so don't say i fail because i prefer to go to barrows than raise my hunter level. Oh and another thing, my total xp vs total lvl is quite high, seeing as i have compared my total xp to people i know with 1800+ total and i still have more total xp despite the 600ish lvls.

I agree that you shouldn't be looked down upon for enjoying certain aspects of the game, but I just wanted to point out that when you farm, you should just be planting your herbs and leaving them while you do something else. Barrows, in your case.

 

 

 

If you did that, you'd make a lot more money for very, very little work. Just a hint. Take it as you will.

I am 108 combat, 1726 total, highest skill is 88 (fishing) and the most money I've ever had is five million. I can't solo bosses, I still die every now and then, and I can't remember the last time I killed a player in pvp.

 

 

 

And I started in late 2003. It literally pains me to see people who joined one year ago that have 99's because they no lifed, or are extremely rich because they managed to get a draconic visage on their first day of dragon hunting, meanwhile in my time playing the most expensive drop I've gotten was a dragon plateskirt (worth 693k at the time) and under that a dragon dagger (worth 45k).

 

 

 

I am the epitomy of "lol noob bad luck omg stop playing", so don't feel too bad about yourself.

You say someones stat sucks, you're in for [cabbage].

 

If you dont, but they say it sucks, screw them. It's your choice to do either combat or skill, noone else can stop you from doing that.

 

 

 

Although 1300 is kinda low for 125, that doesnt mean that you have to get it up, and it doesnt mean you're bad for it.

 

But seriously, if you say, your combat level suxx0rz, expect them to get you back.

 

 

 

I do have a friend though, who only slays.

 

Literally ONLY slays, ever since i told him to get it up because he likes combat. Now it's kinda annoying because he doesnt have time for me :cry:

I have a friend who only fletches, because i told him it was the easiest 99. He plays about an hour a day, he's been at it for quite some time now.

I think you should at least try the skills and don't limit yourself by not doing that (summoning is incredibly useful).

 

 

 

If you don't want to it's your choice, and it's indeed quite silly if people just walk up to you and tell you that you suck. If they do that, follow compfreak's advice.

i dont have anything against summoning or any other skills, it's just that i don't believe i'd be able to do the boring bit before reaping the rewards (such as extra inv space/cool looking pet etc) I also do use my ignore list for them, but i shouldn't have to. i mean there are some genuine people on rs, who don't care that my summoning is 1 and my cb is 125 (usually it makes people laugh and say 'lol wow thats cool') and although i dont train it, i know it's useful and i might raise it after i get 99 prayer/slayer.

i know how that feels, the bad luck thing, i killed 22k dust devils in three weeks and didnt get a single dragon drop =P (not ranting about that btw). But i get called a noob all the time by like lvl 133s when slaying, even though their cb stats cant be any higher than mine =/.

Anyway, higher combat suggests that you have played the game for longer, and therefore would have trained your skills up, thus, have a high total level. I have no problem with people with a high combat but low total.

only reason i have so high is that i have 4 99s (and 92 prayer/87 mage/81 slayer), with very very low skills \

I, for one, have over 20M total experience at about 1,000 total. People with my total level but with higher total exp are usually combat/non-combat pures because they train some skills intensively.

I really hate it when people try to stir the post. You play the way you want. I personally enjoy farming.. or did until I got to the level I wanted. Still I have always hated high combat lvl people that try to push players around because of combat and skill totals. It is very annoying when a 130+ crashes an otherwise balanced area (such as only 2 or 3 people never waiting for a spawn) and forces someone out just because they feel they deserve it more (this is why I hate most rangers actually.)
