Accumalating Cape.

Featured Replies

Well I was thinking today and said...if I ever get 99 range, should I use the cape or the accumulator?

What about getting an accumulating range cape?

It would be almost the same as the cape in Soul Wars, but it would still have the same design.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before. This is kind of poorly thought out, I guess. It's just something little that popped into my head.

Elaborate, can't say your making much sense at the moment =(.

If you mean should you use skill cape or accumilator, i say accumilator unless you wanna show off.

I thought accumulating range cape only worked in soul wars.

O.O

Support!

This would be nice for those 99 rangers out there :P

To the above poster, the idea is to get a cape like the Soul Wars one that's a 99 range cape with an accumulator.

Great idea - wonderful reward for reaching the 99 Ranged mark.

Even though I do not have 99 range (or even 71 for that matter) I fully support this with one small exception. There needs to be some sort of a secondary req't for it to work.

Don't really understand why there should be another requirement for it to work.

And Est0rrath, Georgelemmons said what I mean.

I support this, if it were to happen the cape should be without the irritating spawn of steel arrows, or have an option which allows you to turn it on/off.

99 rangers deserve this.

I think 99 Ranged is more then enough as a req

since the other accumulator only requires a little quest.

That would be a really good addition to the cape.

No, none of the other capes grant any unique bonuses, so neither should the ranged cape.

You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

I don't see why the other capes should have a "unique" bonus. The ranged cape doesn't allow you to pick up your bolts/arrows.

Also I don't think there is a problem or anything that could be added to the other capes.

LJ makes a valid point. Should the herblore cape provide free limpwurt roots? Should the magic cape allow your runes to return for you? If it was up to me I would suggest ALL capes have some sort of 'bonus' besides the +1 in a skill.

The cape would just combine two items though. There isn't any item that goes in the cape slot that returns your runes to you.

But I see what he's trying to say now, I guess. The herblore example is a little much, don't you think?

I support. :)

When I first got my range cape, I wanted to wear it all the time. But the bonus with the accumilator was too much to pass up. I always wished that I could wear both.

I think the best implementation of this would be allowing the accumulator to change appearance to that of the range cape, while still maintaining the stats of the accumulator.

So, in other words, lets give 99 str/attack capes firecape stats, and give 99 mage capes the god cape stats.

No, he wants the ranging cape to collect amunition, not give it the stats of the accumulator. Did you even read the first post?

And I like the idea, it's annoying to have to use my accumulator and have my mighty green cape gather dust.

Yes, but if rangers get a range cape with a bonus, why shouldn't rangers and mages.

Yes, picking up arrows is a bonus.

But there isn't currently something that let's you keep your runes or something like that. What I'm saying is just combining 2 items, not making up a new one.

Lets combine mage arena cape and mage skillcape then, i see no harm in it.

Ok lets combine them. But this is a thread about an accumalating range cape. Not a magic skillcape.

I did a thread on something that involved this a long time ago. I'll see if I have the picture:

It's not a skillcape, but you get the idea.

The little extra bit could be simply taking it to Ava and a listening/reading a little bit of dialogue.

I think it should be allowed and I support it.

The only issue I can see is that people with say "Why can't I/We combine x cape with y achievement cape".

Examples would be; fire and melee capes, agility and hunter with spottier/spotted, magic with mage area, prayer with god cloak, etc.
