Anyone can browse and read these forums, but we have now made it possible for free-players who have at least 42 Achievements to post there too! Why the Achievements requirement? Well, we feel that anyone who has played enough FunOrb games to earn 42 Achievements has shown that they have a clear interest in the site and its games. If youre wondering why 42 Achievements specifically, its because thats the answer to the ultimate question! So f2p'ers in funorb can post on the forums after being experienced enough. But when will Jagex extend this grace to f2p in Runescape? What will the magic number be, and for what attribute? In polls, I think the restriction for f2p is 12 hours of gameplay. Is that enough for the forums? Should it be 24 hours? 30 hours? 50 hours? For something else entirely? How about total level? 600? 700? 800? What does everyone think? ~It's Super Effective! Some F2P-ers have great suggestions on how to improve the F2P version of the game, and if they would be able to post it on the official forum, Jagex might just look at it. It isn't part of the game and it's a place for jagex to get valuable information and feedback. Correct me if I'm wrong. 1000 is actually pretty easy to get, I think around 1200 or 1100 would be better as not just everyone can get it but I think 50m total xp would be better, as there are some great F2Pers who have easily surpassed the 50m xp, but just not passed the 1100 skill total because theyre level 3 skillers. Omali Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 Well look at it this way: Mod Mark Gerhard wants to improve f2p, and who better to give feedback than f2p'ers? What are they going to do, send them an email through the nonexistant customer support feedback center? Jagex is aware of throwaway accounts, and I'm sure one or two will inevitably slip through, so I'm sure the forum moderators and Jmods will be on the prowl for the first week or so. Adding in high level free players would be putting a thin piece of Iceberg lettuce on the giant turd sandwich that is the RSOF. The forums could use a few more mature players on it. Granted, if the RSOF qualification for "high level" is the same as how Jagex sees quests as "high level", then you can say goodbye to the RSOF when Gordon Brown launches a contingency plan and bombs the RSOF as a last ditch cleanup effort, ala Raccoon City in Resident Evil. The total level idea I would say at least 1100 total level as the average level for this is a little over 70 which would be less then 1mil xp average per skill, and the harder skills are easily balanced out by skills like cooking or firemaking, I would support this idea but, I would support more, something along the 80 average, but thats just me :roll:. For the idea regarding xp gains I support it and 50M as suggested earlier sounds fairly reasonable, although this is better for skillers I can see some people maybe going all in on cooking/firemaking to post on the forums, but it would still take some time to reach it. I would support both ideas, as long as it isn't too slack on who could and couldn't be able to post on the forums. That sounds just about right, I'd say bring it maybe a little lower, but that's just me. If there was a requirement I would say once you complete all the free quests and achievment diaries. A total of 1100 or 1200 would make more sense in my mind. I was over 1000 total at 70 combat on f2p, so I imagine those who aren't pures could easily acquire such a total. Unless of course I am overestimating some people. deyan2 Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 In my opinion it should be like 10.000.000 totallexperience that you should have in F2p. Believe me, this is a hard task for pure F2p players. I admit that rank 1 F2p did it more then 50 times but I still think it's a hard task ;). If you don't agree then try it, I bet you won't succeed within 1 year. It can be achieved by skillers, pures and similar. A latest thing that could happen is simply pay like 10M ingame to some ingame creature that gives you permission to post on the forums forever :D :P. The only bad point is that some old botaccount did allready achieve this (not 10M thing but the other idea) :(, here a few botaccountnames with 99 skills: Evoje, Evojke, Evoika, Evonka, Quabla, Nabbla, Ubahn, Sbahn and if you want me to I can call at least another 15.
