Amundogus2
Yeah there should be one with an article every 3 weeks dedicated to me where I can say whatever the hell I want about the latest updates and what's on my mind, everyone would buy it then!!! Would rather copy-paste the Rants forum tbh. stormveritas
There are quite a few complications here that make the magazine impossible. The cover work is great, and I know people would -like- to see it, but sadly it's not that simple.[*:3h85wnnk]Distribution / Speed - Would be expensive, timely, and still get you at best 2/3 days from content completion + printing to field. Most news in Runescape is old by day 2, so you'd have to work on things that are less time-sensitive.[*:3h85wnnk]Labor - While the community is more than willing to drive content, finding responsible writers who can pull together work very quickly, very reliably, and very high quality is not easy. Add in the fact that they'd have to work for peanuts/nothing, and you've got a problem.[*:3h85wnnk]Content source - Due to the timeliness that I mentioned, the only great source of information that would make the magazine REALLY valuable is inside development information from Jagex. Unfortunately, if Jagex released exclusive news about previews exclusively through the magazine, two things would happen: 1. The community that didn't have to pay for that content before would be pissed off. 2. Someone would quickly scan and post your magazine somewhere, and it would spread. Only a few subscribers would be yielded, so you couldn't successfully monetize. Just don't want you to go too far down a road that might not work for you. SwreeTak
Awww isn't that cute? Sure it is. But it won't become reality :(. RS is to small and most people wouldn't pay for it. At least not I. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
primadog
Not quite in paper form, but RS Informer has a very similar format to the traditional gaming magazines. Check it out. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
Sunny Earth
Hobgoblinpie - Ah right, I see. I've found a few of them online. Thanks. Cottage - Lol, Maybe even famous quotes could be included. XD J35u5_M4, Da_Latios, Ravenkana, Swedishboy5 - Thanks for the feedback! Randox - Great post, thanks. It's interesting to see what other people think of 'Ezines'. Bazzaminxer - Yeah I suppose so. The costing and regularity of the magazine is just what my preference would be though. It could be longer/cheaper, or shorter/more expensive. Kenshinjapan - Randox explained it well. I suppose some elements of it would be similar to the postbag, but again, the postbag is written by Jagex and wouldn't contain any opinions about things. Drakolord7 - That sounds interesting, thanks for posting. Stormvertitast - Thanks a lot for posting that, you have brought up some very good points - they're definitely worth taking into account. I'd never actually thought about exclusive news from Jagex, but that could be a great idea. Mechscape world has gotten lots of exclusive behind the scenes information on Mechscape - that seems to be going well. But yeah, thanks again for posting the information on the production of the magazine and problems associated. Primadog - Hmm interesting. I've read a few articles posted on there, and the only thing which I think is a problem, is that there aren't many images. Looks good though. Itsjustagame
Maybe if you wanted to add another 10 nerd points to your resume. What's more nerdy than reading about a game when you can't be at a computer?
Sunny Earth
Well you're welcome to your opinion, altough it's an ignorant one at that. Especially when you're spending your time reading and posting on RUNESCAPE forums. And who said anything about reading it when you're not at a computer? Kimberly
I couldn't see a magazine ever taking off, mainly because there are so many established fan sites and forums that post more articles that are more interesting to read than a monthly magazine could EVER hope to push out. And you don't pay to read a website! Maybe a "webzine" that updates weekly. Even that's a bit iffy, as I said, because fansites have already built themselves a firm niche. In the end, runescape is to simple to have a published magazine for it. At least, that's how I feel. Kudos to you for designing a magazine cover. That looks truly legit! Sunny Earth
"What would be in the magazine?" Apart from the ones already stated, here are a few other ideas which have been suggested: Latest gossip Players' opinions Grand Exchange updates. Tips on skills, money making, etc. One new quest guide every month. Famous quotes from Andrew Gower and Paul Gower. Questions being answered by Jagex Moderators. Helpful game tips. Small stories from RuneScape NPC's everyday-life, not available on the RuneScape website. RuneScape posters. Player-submitted stories about different situations in RuneScape. Contests for winning something like Andrew Gower signature on a magazine or getting your username for next months magazine! Games, this section should be called 'FunOrb' and it will have games such as crosswords, puzzles, etc. Glimpse of the Future section.

RuneAge
I think that a magazine based on the news and updates of runescape would be great, i'd expect to pay around £2:00 for one, also, there could be sneak previews of future updates or even new skills ect. Sunny Earth
I think if that was possible, it would defintely be one of the main selling points. I'd love to be able to ready sneak-peaks of what's happening in RuneScape, now especially since the monthly Behind The Scenes has gone. :) Thanks for posting. Reztral
I don't know if I would subscribe to it or not. Maybe if I would be able to sample the magazine first to see what it is like then I would be able to make a decision. --8727th person to achieve 99 Fishing on 8/19/2008----6012th person to achieve 99 Thieving on 10/12/2008--R.I.P.
