Training RC to 99: Multiple Questions

Skeptical

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Cooldog08, and I'm interested in getting my RuneCrafting (currently level 59) to level 99.

I am just finishing up getting 99 fletching (800k from 99 as I write.) and am eventually looking to get further 99's. One that I am looking at is RC, as it is one of the most difficult and respected skillcapes to earn.

I was wondering, can anyone offer any answer to how long it would take if I used the Spirit Graahk method (which I believe is the fastest?)

It is said to be 27k an hour if you really try. To me, getting max xp possible in an hour is just impossible. I'm not able to keep focussed like that. I think if you're going to set such a high goal, you'd be better off starting small first. Get lvl 75 or so first. You have no idea about what you're up to yet.

urm, its quite simple actually.

if you are dedicated, you can run 3000 natures an hour, which is 27k an hour.

simply times thisup, and this equals how many hours it will take (Y)

good luck

and oh yeh, fletching is a doddle compared to runecrafting

Here is the biggest problem with runecrafting, you can make more money at higher levels but the experience remains the same even at 99 runecrafting (only exception is ZMI).

I still encourage you to try it, it is a skill that can earn you a lot of money if you stick to it.

starting at upwards of 300k hour with graahks. you could be earning 1 million gp a day if you get good at it.

i take it you have 57 summoning and know about rc pouches, super energys and dueling rings.

More or less, yes, I do, although I do not yet have 57 summoning, following 99 fletch, it is my next goal (I already have most of the required money and am growing marigolds for bull ants), and am in possession of quite a number of emerald rings to make into rings of dueling, and will have over 1mil at the start or my goal to spend on supplies.

Yup, after only a couple mil and a hundred or so hours an at 96, believe me, I know rc is a lot harder. :ohnoes:

I'll take your advice: my first goal will be 75, then I'll lookat getting to 91, maybe with a break in-between.

remember it takes a LONG time.

when you first look at the 27k an hour rate it doesnt seem that bad. but when you see what is involved in the runecrafting cycle, believe me you wont ever be doing straight hours of runecrafting. too many factors affect this.

Ok, I've decided I will mix in training it with training other easily "buyable skills" with the cash I make from it (eg, summoning, cooking, firemaking.)

Thanks a ton for the help guys

:-P good luck man, I'd recommend going along the method I am currently. After going 1-62 RC straight on nothing but airs I gave up to train other things lol, now i'm back on it going to the ZMI altar until I hit lvl 70, then i'll break, then 80 and so on. RC is insanely difficult if you think you'll go strait to 99, but if you can manage it bravo :D

If I were you, I would do ZMI to 82, double astrals to 91, and then double natures to 99. It would be much faster and you would make the same amount of money, as if you did nats till 99 (if not more).

I'd do double cosmics at 59 to 82 instead since it yields almost as much money as doing double astrals. You'd probably have over 300 million cash when you hit 99 by going that way.

Almost as much cash but less xp.

I'd do Penguins every week and use it on Summoning so it's 57, then use it on Runecrafting when you start.

The exp difference between Astral and Cosmic runes is only 0.7, so the exp wouldn't differ much anyway.

No one knows how long it would take accuratly, some people have gotten 99 in one month, some in three, some in five years.

A little pointer to you though, I'm a lot further ahead then you and closer to 99 runecrafting, and from personal experience, I say keep to one goal. Don't plan to start runecrafting when you're already doing fletching. Finish fletching, and then see how you're feeling then.

Good luck.

NOBODY took only a month to get 99 rc. If they did, they started with like... 97 rc at least. :P

no lifing?

I did a few quick calculations.

.7 xp doesn't seem like much, but going from 59-82 would take 241,467 Nature Runes and 261,832 Cosmics. That's 20K more ess you have to run if you took Cosmics over Natures.

Of course, ZMI would be better than both of them.

Good luck at any rate, RuneCrafting is definitely one of the rarest skillcapes. I applaud your perseverance =D>

Actually.

From 87.

I've heard that some people have gotten 300kxp a day through ZMI, (which is doable, I've gotten 350k xp one day before) and if you do calculations for this whole month of April, at 300k xp a day, that's 9M xp exactly. So the left xp needed to get to 99 is 4,034,431, which is level 87. So from level 87 runecrafting you could get it in a month, yes, no lifing.

It's abit slower than nature runes yes, but you'll make ALOT more money. You make more than twice as much cash with double cosmics than with nature runes before level 91.
