Scary Movie 1 reference in the chamber of the blood altar, meyerditch caverns.

Examine some coffins, some will say:

deadppl.png

I see dead people!

Isn't that from Sixth Sense?

Quite possibly, but i think scary movie was the one to make that phrase famous

No I think it was the Sixth Sense.

Scary Movie just took it from Sixth Sense.

Maybe the "Food for Thought" song is an Easter egg of UB40's song? :)

Or just the English phrase, "food for thought".

That and it is song for 2nd level of the SoS. Which in case you didn't know, the 2nd level is based on "Famine". Or the lack of food et cetera.

The whole dungeon could be considered one big easter egg. Pretty much every room is based on a horseman of the apocalypse from The Bible - War (1) Famine(2) Pestilence (3) Death (4) according to some interpretations. Though I could be wrong somewhere

When you're doing Fremnick Trials, you can sing the song, Elvarg the Magic Dragon during the Bard part of the quest, a clear reference to the Peter Paul and Mary Classic Puff the Magic Dragon. The tune is the same as the words are something like:

Elvarg the Magic Dragon

Lives By the Sea

He Spends His Day Eating folks

and Dies Occasionally

Elvarg the Magic Dragon, Lives by the sea...

He spends his days eating folk, And dies occasionally

Hmm I sung a different song. About me being a member of the hero's guild. Maybe doing hero's quest first impacted that somehow...

Depending on the Guild level you last achieved, there are 3 songs, for Champions, Heroes and Legends.

Besides the Elvarg/Puff the Magic Dragon, there's also Murphy/Michael Row The Boat Ashore, and I've forgotten the other two choices you can sing to the bouncer.

During the quest "Glorious Memories", when you talk to Jatizo Burger(or king) you get the line "Read my lips, no more taxes). Clear reference to George W. Bush campaign.

Incorrect. That was George HW Bush (GWB's dad) that used "Read my lips."

In Another Slice of H.A.M.

*Spoilers :)*

Zanik is tied to a train track and you have to rescue her from the evil villain (in this case, Sigmund)

The music unlocked is Slice from a Silent Movie.

I read somewhere that old movies used this as a plot line, that's why the name of the music references Silent Movie ;)

Homer: So if we don't all vote the same way we'll be "deadlocked" and be "sequestered" at the Springfield Hotel, where we'll get Free Room, Free TV, Free Food, Free HBO. OOH! Free Willy!

Skinner: Homer I think this has something more to do than a disobedient whale.

Homer: Okay, how are the rest of you voting.

Every member of the Jury: Guilty.

Homer: How many "S'" in innocent?

*Jury groans*

Homer: I'm only doing what I think is right. I believe Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel.

Wow, read through the whole thread, never knew anything, but the Fairy Nuff = fair enough. Lol ver clever of making them Knights of the round table to be actual words.

All the white knights have word-plays as a name.

The knights of the round table have the original names from the King Arthur stories.

Dear Fradanom,

Since I've attained the rank of Master Chef, I no longer need to cook things myself but simply assign one of my grunts to cook it for me. I'm more of an...arbiter - oh, I like the sound of that - ruling my kitchen with a wooden spoon. I no longer have time for the mere trivialities such as actually cooking.

My time these days is absorbed by holding cooking competitions where I invite 'elite' chefs from around RuneScape to come to my spartan kitchen and cook for me. I then taste their food and critique them. If they manage to make something which I find reaches the laudable standard of 'barely edible by me', I'll hire them as a commis chef and train them in my arcane arts.

I still like to dabble in private, just to keep my hand in. If I ever went back to cooking you'd find my smallest hors d'oeuvres a guilty spark of pleasure, my relevés will transport you - in the taste sense rather than the culinaromancy one - to the relaxation of dipping your toes in the balmy seas off Karamja. My main courses will be the apex of the meal and will leave you satisfied for days, no longer needing normal food. Finally, my puddings are the perfect denouement, providing you with cathartic release from the grip of rapturous abandon created by my food.

Tastiest regards,

Lloyd

I remember this. I forget exactly *what* its from (Although since it's late, I'd have to guess its one of the letter things, postbag from the hedge?).

The only reason I ever understood this is because I had just picked up and beat Halo 2 the week this was put out. (Shh, at that time halo 3 was out for a while, but i never played any of em)

Gotta love these though.

his food is a greek play :? .

and before anyone says it, a spartan kitchen is just a very sparse average kitchen. i hate 300 for what they did to the popular knowledge of Sparta :wall:

In the quest "Meeting History", if one were to examine the Portal where people first stepped out from it says "Theres cake through here, apparently".

In the Great Orb Project, if one fails really badly, Wizard Vief (sp?) will say "That was a DISASTER. I'm making a note here... HUGE FAILURE" ("This was a Triumph. I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS." - Original song by the late GLaDOS.... or Ellen McLain and Jonathon Coulton...)

Also in the G.O.P, if one was to examine the Altars whilst in the minigame, it would say: "Look at you examining when theres Rune-Crafting to do." ("Look at me still talking when theres Science to do.")
