Our 4x800 won state with 7:47. We basically just stayed on or in first and let our last guy outkick the others. Breaks the 33 year old school record by 8 seconds.

Glenbard East?

Hope everyone's season went well. over here we're already starting summer training next week.. i'm thinking about joining a gym or something to get a little bit more conditioned

Going to start getting ready for cross country in about a week. Took a week off after I finished a 10K on last Saturday. Could have broken 40 minutes if I didn't a get a small illness before hand. Got 14th overall in the race with a time of 44:39.

Then again, I could have gone under a 7:00 mile pace, since my pace for the race was around 7:11 for a mile pace.

Got new running shoes today. Amazingggggggggggg ran a 5:40 mile lmao, compared to like my 7 minute on my old shoes. I just need to work on stamina now, mainly lung power.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

My Araxxi Kills: 459::Araxxi Drops(KC):

Araxxi Hilts: 4x Eye (14/126/149/459), Web - (100) Fang (193)

Araxxi Legs Completed: 5 ---Top (69/206/234/292/361), Middle (163/176/278/343/395), Bottom (135/256/350/359/397)

Altitude training might be best then. Or just really long runs. Stamina would likely come from 5K+ runs with hills, gets you tried, but its amazing for stamina and speed.

Yea I live in the great plains of Virginia lmao...

Here's a picture of my old shoes (orange) v my new shoes, you can't see it really well but my old ones are really really torn out.

And my average mile now is like 5:45, over the past 3 nights running with the new shoes, I've just been tired lately tbh not really wanting to run at all.

I can't wait for cross country training to start in 2 weeks. -.- Our easiest day is about 6 miles at 7 minute pace - and we get one of those about once every two weeks.

Lol wow, I started conditioning for the team yesterday. We did like a 45 minute run which was around 3-4 miles.

Running is going pretty good now! We can run half a marathon without too much effort. We run around 12KM an hour now. The real thing is at the start of october. But since it's a coastal marathon we also need to start practicing on the beach and through the dunes. Going to my gym today to start up a special training program (for the weights and so, I stopped doing cardio at the gym) so that I have an extra good preparation. :)

 What state is that? Even though those are great times (better than mine) the 100 wouldn't have qualified for the state meet and the 400 would have barely qualified in the slowest division in Illinois.

Western Australia. States here aren't invitational, they're sort of like a qualification for nationals. So yeah i haven't really compared the Australia to America times ^^

while they are both good times, i echo george's statement in that there are girls in pennsylvania who run high 11's for the 100. however that 400 would have had you in the top 4 in my district. wish i could run the 400 that fast.

since i've started summer training already i feel like i need to get a few opinions on something that has been bothering me for quite awhile. i'll try to explain as best i can:

when i walk or run, my left foot is perfectly straight during each step or stride. my right foot, however is at a slight/moderate outward angle. i first noticed this freshman track season and i thought that perhaps it was natural just because i'm a righty or because my form was bad, i had no muscle, and i ran inefficiently. well, now its really starting to bother me because as i become stronger and more efficient i have become much more aware of this problem. and its not just my foot. my entire leg seems to have adjusted to this outward angle (kind of weird). first i laid down with both legs in front of me. my left knee was sticking perfectly straight up, and with it- the left foot was pointing straight up. when my right knee is facing straight up, the foot is at the outward angle. to get the foot straight, i have to twist my knee inward and it actually feels as if i'm pulling a muscle a little too much in the process. the next test i did was standing on one leg. to go from standing on two legs to standing on my left leg, i barely shift my weight at all and stand perfectly erect. however with my right leg if i stand with the foot straight my weight shifts to the area between my (wagon) and my hip (there is a slight pain there after lunges and squats aswell). if i stand with the foot at where it wants to be, although my weight is easily supported a still feel pressure in my legs and that hip/wagon area. as i get more serious about running i'm wondering if this is actually a serious problem and if i should consider going to a physical therapist or a running specialist? its really been on my mind and although it doesn't impede my running too much, as i get into a better lifting program i'm feeling unbalanced and very inefficient on this leg. tell me what you guys think.

I think I've heard of something similar to that happening if you run in only one direction around a track a lot, but as you said freshmen year I dont think thats it. I would see a doctor about that if its bothering you.

I just ran 2k in about 10 mins. I was pretty disappointed, but it was my first run in a week, and I have moved and don't think I've acclimatised yet.

Sounds like fun. I moved from the UK to Singapore so conditions are a bit different. I'll start doing more interesting things once I'm sorted. And I'll get they guys I'm with into running tooo =)
