Maze
High levels get to wear cool armor and use sweet weapons. That's what people have told me. People tell me that they experience the full game because they can kill bosses and make more money than lower levels. Now, I see many videos of people with high levels and they have uber gear such as Dragonfire Shields. They look like they are having fun playing RuneScape. The question I ask is, is this true? Is being a high level really that fun and awesome?
Clay_More12
It is, but when yu're like 138/126 then you've got nothing to lvl from after that :| Divine Forces | #DF on irc.seersirc.net | Most Motivated | http://rs-df.com/forums
armadillo48
I got bored of it, hence me now playing on my 1 def account. I didn't like the lack of challenge when i could hit 50+ and had +300 def stats etc.
Punitive_D
The question I ask is, is this true? Is being a high level really that fun and awesome? I'm not high level yet, but maybe a bit higher than you so far, and my experience is that the game is fun at every level. There's always another challenge around the corner. Something new to try. Something new to buy. Another boss to solo. Another mini-game to master. I'd say it's more fun now than when I started, but not that much more. The fun's just different. dragon246665
the hardest part of the game is the time between low and high level, the middle class of runescape so to speak. I say this because you're too high leved to do things like killing goblins but too low leved to do things like boss hunting, your cought in an almost akward phase, like puberty.

I mostly really only do Slayer on RuneScape. A lot more fun than standing at one spot all day staring at how much xp you have left to the next level. C110
I class myself as a high level but when I look back I think I had more fun. Take slayer, I achieved 99 not to long ago and I still like it, but when I'm slaying atm it feels like I'm doing it for nothing other then xp goals I set for myself. The fun thing was setting goal levels and getting them! Also cool gear, I think I'm the poorest high slayer arround. 99 Slayer and 133 combat but only a bankworth of about 30m, mainly because I dont like grinding, I rather spend 10m to get a level fast then 1m and have to work for it for ages. But thats just me. Overall I think the 'noob' time was better and we just cant start this over since you can re-start a account but keep the knowledge. - I'm not proud of everything I've done, but I have no regrets

green9090
Depends what you mean. It is fun being a high level when you are still working toward things. You get a new tool or new ability and go "wow, this sure will help with X!" At a certain point the only abilities you have to look forward to are entirely pointless. "Boy, I can't wait to get that inferno adze so I can, um, grind woodcutting and firemaking at the same time! That sure will help with getting two more 99s that do nothing!" "Boy, can't wait until I can mine rune! Then I can, um... sit around and wait for rune to spawn instead of doing things that make much better money!" "Boy, can't wait until I can make sara brews so that I can waste even MORE money on herblore exp!" Etc. I am very, very close to this point. I would still like 91 rc, and to max out combat, and get 99 slayer and summoning. Then... I just don't know. RuneAge
Well i think that being high leveled has its Good sides and bad sides, For example, a bad side would be that a level 138 would no longer be able to achieve any more levels in a combat skill, but a good side would be that a high leveled player could wear high bonus armour/weapons. If only this were the case. Somebody with 70 def and 75 attack is hardly a high level, and yet they can wear the same armor and weapons I do. Pinkbullet3
The question I ask is, is this true? Is being a high level really that fun and awesome? I also don't get why you need other people to tell you what's fun and what isn't. Why can't you reach a high level first before asking what else there is to do? And if you tell me you "don't have the time" to reach a high level, then at least with what you know from the game already, you should be able to determine how much more "fun" RS will be when you're a few levels higher with a few more pixels in your bank. ^ Blog. sparky1_2007
it has its perks.... i dont need to use a godsword to achieve huge hits on slayer tasks and such, i can just use my whip and ill be hitting constant 40's or so. and now that im maxed combat, i've found some skilling stuff to be fun, like runecrafting, woodcutting, fishing, etc... retired 12-31-

Is being a high level really that fun and awesome? Being a high level is a blast, but the road to a high level is big. It's all devoting hardwork. I don't earn big benefits from being a high level though. It's as hard for me, a level 138 to get a hilt as a level 95 at GWD. But for us melee and combat lovers, it's annoying to have reached the limit.
PlzPuddngPlz
- Harder, more in depth quests - Easier ways of income - Natural experience of the game - Slaying bosses To answer your question; yes, definitely. I think the actual question is "Is it easier to acheive goals when high-leveled". In case I'm right, monetary, item, and quest goals are easier, while level goals are harder, due to there being more experience between levels, but this is partially offset by the increased amounts of experience for doing X new activity. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. Suggestions appreciated This guide is as concise as a gourmet's handbook with the guidelines of "Pick up fork, stab food, insert into your mouth, then chew". Goblin512
It's kind of like you have to look at a player like Zezima. Now he had every skill at 99, but the cost of this was that everyone knew who he was and he got followed everywhere. Plus he's almost always on Funorb now. Funorb, of course, is far different from Runescape. There is no true end to it. Maybe he did Get bored of Runescape and switched to Funorb. But if you look at it this way: You are a level 138 combat character. Let's just say you have 99 Attack, Defense, Hitpoints, Strength, Prayer, and Summoning. Those are just 6 skills. Now you could still train your Magic and Ranged skills. Then there is Slayer. There are 18 other skills besides those 6. There is a wide range of things that are possible. I have a friend who is level 135. He normally finds himself doing the new Diversions & Distractions. He always does new quests. He always finds something to do. So yeah, I'm neutral. I'm currently level 109, and I have as many things to do as when I was level 80.
