Blutters
No. RS is much funner as a noob when you have a lot to look forward to. Couldn't have said it better myself. Same. I often feel as though I know 'everything' about RuneScape, and that there's really nothing left to explore. I also sometimes get self-conscious about training, thinking that there must be a faster/more efficient way to do what I'm doing. I wouldn't want to be a lower level again unless it was an entirely new world at the same time...

Me_Hate_Libs
I ty to void doing anything that's overly repetitive. Suffice to say, I don't gain many levels these days. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.

Bini
Depends on what you mean with high level. Being high Combat level player: Yes! It's awsome. I just recently got 100+ Combat before that I had been combat level 76 or lower for almost 7 Years. Having high skill levels: Not so fun but the journey was fun and at 90+ it just gets really boring because after that there is just one goal, to get 99. So, both yes and no. Your Grandpa
It is nice sometimes, though it takes out the sense of wonder and exploration that a low level has. You go from having so many possibilities you can achieve to being bored with the game due to a lack of content left to unlock.

J35u5_M4
I can tell you it is indeed AWESOME, you get to do more stuff, and even if you ever max, you always have mini games, PK, and well, NEW SKILLS almost every year :P

His stats are actually quite good in my opinion... Not everyone's main goals are 99s, 90s, or even 80s. You don't have to be maxed out to feel like you have nothing left to do. I'll often get on and then get back off because I simply don't feel like training boring skills (you can tell that I hate RC, Thieving, and Herblore most of all; they are my lowest stats). la la la
Every time I see a level 138 porcupine-looking high level with his bandos, slayer helm, dfs, dragon boots, fury, and fire cape, I just think-- what a cliche. I would much rather see someone between levels 90-120 with a neat skill cape or outfit.

Ahh yes I see what you mean. Usually when that happens (which is pretty much now) I quit Runescape so that I can pursue other interests. After a few months to a year, there should be enough quests to keep me busy. I've even exhausted my Funorb capacity since my whole spiel with that is maintaining the number 1 position in Starcannon. (I'm not sure what the rules are about NON JAGEX games or real life stuff so I'm not going to waste post space with that) I actually have almost everything Runescape has to offer thanks to Spicy stew. I have a spirit tree, an Adze, and all the diary rewards. Not a big fan of 99s JUST for the 99. I like doing things that involve the "skill factor" over the "time factor". Pretty much the only boss I can't solo is the Corporeal Beast LOL. (And apparently the easter carrot doesn't work on mouse...so why I bothered using it on Jad? I don't know ROFL) Usually combat is the only skill that needs to be maxed but other skills are only "max worthy" at certain levels. If anyone asks me to "make a pure", I will barf on them. I enjoy PvP in games that involve "twitch", not how much I can limit my stats and levels. First person shooters For the win! Kimberly
They look like they are having fun playing RuneScape. Nah, for the most part we're all miserable and bored. (No, really. I'm serious.) The glamour wears off for everyone at some point.
D Jay99
I think it is fun. I can do whatever I want (well not the things that cost too much money, but I don't want to do that atm anyway), and I've done all quests too. I do believe it was more fun starting out and discovering everything, but you can only do that once. If I'd start all over on a new account, nothing would change except my stats, because I already know everything about training skills and stuff. So yeah, I think it is more fun than being a low-ish higher level (70-90 combat) who wants to do everything but can't do anything, but less fun than starting out. smobo
I for some reason will never see my self as high leveled. I remember when I used to look up to lv 80's like they where high leveled. But its a little weird for me now, with the level 138s, the highest possible combat, being a darkish orange colour instead of that dark red their supposed to be. But, rs hasn't changed for me much. I've almost always kept to myself, just casually talking to people who I'm training with. Its just, now instead of killing cows and goblins with my steel long, I'm killing abyssal demons, dragons, and other things. Achieving milestones is nice, but I don't think I was much happier getting 99 hp then say, 75 hp. And as far as high leveled activities go, I started doing gwd at lv 90. I even pulled off soloing zammy at lv 95. (by complete luck, but w/e) Got his first skill cape April 7th 2009, at lv 121+12 cb and 2000 total

JoeDaStudd
I've never got pass the level 90 (in a single skill) mark on any account yet, but the higher level you get the more repetitive the game gets. Having said that it does open up more features, the only trouble is what was once really risky and new can soon becomes easy and old. Look back pre-gwd and there was very few high level rewards (bosses and weapons) now its much better, but the game can still easily become a grind depending on your play style. Sometimes just to reminiscent I like to put on Newbie Melody. I am guilty of this as well. I started way before Runescape had sound, so no newbie melody for me... I used to like to reminisce by visiting Runescape Classic with my level 68 version of Green9090, but I got locked out because I hadn't had internet for a while when they decided to lock it up to everyone who hadn't logged in in 6 months. Damn them... I miss RSC :( Join "DG Sweepers" Clan Chat for Dungeoneering Floors | Accepting all tipiters who are Willing to Learn |
SwreeTak
Being a high-level is as I see it much more fun than a low level, since you get more and more options in the game. Of course the game gets more repetive, since you have to get more xp to level up. But as long as you don't do the same thing over and over and keep varaite your gameplay, being a higher level is much better. At least I think so since I like RS for all the different opportunities within it. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
