RuneAge
Now, this topic has got nothing to do with changing how you can level up, it's about the your current level on the Stats interface, (This --> e.g: 88/88.) Now i may just be being very picky, but i think your level should be out of 99, because that is the highest possible level you can achieve on the game, whereas it's out of the level your currently at, this seems a bit confusing, because, when you reach say 70 attack, it shows 70/70, which in general terms means the maximum amount/one whole/highest level. Shouldn't the level terms be out of 99? It would make much more sense seeing your current level as 70/99 rather than 70/70. As i have said, this may just be me being picky, but this is how i think it should be set out. Please discuss, i look foward to reading the comments. :) Click my signature for my blog! Clay_More12
Not really, because just say you drink a beer, it increases your Strength level by 2 and decrease your Attack or Defence level by 4, so you'll be confused on which level you're on. Mylez
If it caps at 99, what about super-potted? Surely it should then be 88/99/116, or 88/116? :)
Spartan625
I am 73/73 Magic. I take a does of a Magic Pot. I am no 77/73, Level 77 magic out of my normal 73. Would get confusing if it was 73/99 I pot become 77/99.............. Especially with potions that add and reduce stats. ^^ CLICK FOR MY DAILY LOG ^^101 runescape suggestions that don't suck. RuneAge
I never thought about the apsects of drinking a potion ect.., But the general idea i'm trying to get accross is 77/77 means the maxium level is 77, whereas it's not, the maxium level is 99, see where i'm coming from? D Jay99
It's pretty logical actually. It just shows your current stats potted/unpotted, and your base stats. I think making it 85/99 or something would only make it more confusing. It's not like you have to be reminded that the maximum level is 99 every time you look at your stat screen. Zierro
I don't see anything wrong with the way it is right now. If they changed it, Hitpoints would be messed up pretty badly. So would Summoning and Prayer. And like D Jay says, you don't need a reminder that 99 is the level cap.

And then dropped back over time as it usually does? You know your levels. You know you're (for example) 70 attack. If you look at your stats and you have 63/99 attack you know you've lost 7 levels. Bauke
What I'd like to see is the whole slash thing gone. Most of your stats are xx/xx. Occasionally, your stats will have a bonus or a penalty. In that case, something like 70/99 could be visible. Otherwise, just make it so that it's only your actual level. So no more 99/99, but just "99". Or, in the case of stat bonuses or penalties, they could work with + and -. Like, when potting up, you could have strength lvl 99 and a little "+19" note added on your level. It would look a lot more elegant. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

Okay I want you to right now type out all your stats without looking at your character or high scores or any records of your stats. Now don't play for a week (as many people probably do occasionly due to vacations, being busy etc) and then do the exact same thing. Are you sure you know your levels? And hello screwed up "Rate This" pictures. Can have all 99's and probably 2100 total if you do it right. The system in place is already good so why fix whats not broken? Outsanity
Worst idea EVER. So when I pot how am I supposed to know what level I really am? Oh wait, I wouldn't be able to. :| |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|
miracleman58
70/70 81/81 91/91 all over the stat board looks alot cleaner than 70/99 81/99 91/99. Just too many numbers would be clashing :| 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.
J35u5_M4
Firstly ,it looks better 90/90 than 90/99, secondly, it is made so the right number is the base level and the left number is the affected number, the base level won't change until you level up, but the affected level can change by using boosters or getting stats reduced. Honestly it is fine the way it is
Me_Hate_Libs
The first number shows what your variable attack level currently is, i.e. in case of a pot, 79/72. While the second number shows what your stationary attack level you have achieved via exp gained. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. Giordano
I think the denominator is supposed to represent the highest of your ability, not the in-game engine. If I have level 85 magic, my character only has 85 magic. Pots or other effects can increase or decrease it, but my character's max level is 85. Until I train it to 86. It is an MMORPG, so references to characters are common. Stop thinking in such mathematical terms. unjustblood
It's not like you have to be reminded that the maximum level is 99 every time you look at your stat screen. This. Big_Stingman
I would say no because if for any reason your level is NOT what it usually is (Say you have 70 attack) due to drinking some beer or pots, then there is no longer anything showing what level you actually have. :?
