3PointMan
This a a discussion on them, but I also have a question =D [hide=Question!]Well, I'm trying to convince my parents to get one of these, and I need some help. They are really close but im not really sureif they are going too or not. Whats some good arguments? I already said I would pay for it and I would mow underneath it and keep the grass green. I also said it's a great energy burner and kids in America are getting fat and it's good exercise for us. What are some good things to tell them?[/hide] [hide=New More Important Question]How much does the Homeowners Insurance go up by? My parents said yes, but if the insurance goes up too much, it's a no..[/hide] This is the one we are purchasing.... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... d=11008204 If anyone has any CC on this trampoline please do post. Now, what are some of your favorite things to do on them, favorite stories about them or just anything in general. If you have one, what size and stuff? We are thinking about a 15' one. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
Millard
I have a 15' one and it does the job perfectly. Or so i am told.
Robert_de_Sable
They're great fun, but I would definitely suggest getting an enclosed one. My friend nearly broke his neck on one once. [English translation needed]
tintin113
They are AWESOME!!! :D Get the netting thing around it though, that not only makes it way safer, but your parents will be more happy buying the thing if they know it's safe. Also tell them it's good excercise... 'cos it is. ;) Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!Xbox360 Gamertag = Tintin113
Laura
I love trampolines, but they're extremely dangerous. You'd have to make your argument with an enclosed one. Netting or not, however, it can be very dangerous and I can see why your parents wouldn't buy you one.
Danqazmlp
There great on hot days, but a reminder, don't drink and trampoline, it hurts : Want to be my friend? deathdrow
trampolines are fun, but not fun when you bounce off accidentally and faceplant on your lawn.
Bauke
A trampoline is good fun. My parents have one and I've enjoyed using it. And yes, it definitely burns energy. Great exercise. LawrenceHoward
They're awesome! My favorite thing to do is when it's really hot, get a BUNCH of people over, cover it in dish soap, and put a sprinkler underneath it (one that attaches to a hose) Way cool, slippy slidey bikini-y fun! "To all you youngsters reading this, if you are under 25 STOP PLAYING THIS GAME RIGHT NOW. Life is to short and you are only that young once. Trust me when i say this, take advantage of the girls now. Once they are 25+ and have been around a few times they arnt dumb anymore, the fun is all over." --BAHAHAHAHAHAH. Dizzle229
I have that one. It's great to get like 6 people to go on it and come up with all different games. If you do get it, here's one I recommend. Ned and His Assorted Band of Barnyard Buddies (my cousin who gave it this name is a neurologist now :uhh: ) Basically, get a whole bunch of people on and get like 10 medium sized balls that will bounce when you jump. If you get hit by one you're out. Simple, but great fun. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Nenga
We had a trampoline once. Then a tornado came through. It was three houses over in pieces the next morning. It was fun and is great exercises. Though when I was young I wasn't really concerned about weight. Still I would say it is worth getting. As for good arguments, I don't really know any. My parents just sorta bought one. Ponies! 3PointMan
Yeah, I dont care about losing weight either, Im just using it as an excuse to buy one :D I showed them this fake article of a 215 pound boy who went down to 130 in 4 weeks of trampoline jumping. They pretty much bought the story. Still, comment about them and share some cool games! http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1

I have tried it with a sprinkle underneath, and that is REALLY FUN. it isnt slippery at all, but when you jump you get splashed with water. The soap part sounds dangerous however. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
Racheya
I love trampolines. Common games to be played on my friend's trampoline (ours is too small for more than 2 people) are: The Seat drop Game: You have to bounce around doing seat drops, If you fall over or don't get back up from a seat drop then you're out. The last two people have to do champ-to-champ, continual seat drops like... seat drop to feet, seat drop to feet, the loser is the one that bounces twice or stop. The Dirty Game: Don't really understand the rules but something about kicking and trying to trip people up... They're awesome! My favorite thing to do is when it's really hot, get a BUNCH of people over, cover it in dish soap, and put a sprinkler underneath it (one that attaches to a hose) Way cool, slippy slidey bikini-y fun! Am i the only one that thinks slippery surface+trampoline sounds incredibly dangerous? Guuuuys you make me sad. Who cares if it's dangerous if you can get girls in bikinis sliding around all wet and soapy in your garden?!?! You call yourselves men. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. obfuscator
I wouldn't buy one from wal-mart myself, but that's just me. Certainly they provide great fun and exercise. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
3PointMan
I wouldn't buy one from wal-mart myself, but that's just me. Certainly they provide great fun and exercise. There's are the cheapest and have the longest warranty. The exact same trampoline at Sams Club is $150 more and at target it's $59 more. The only places have the same one, but for $50-200 more. The Wal-Mart right here has one it stock, and my parents would rather buy it at a store than get it shipped anyways... http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
nine naked men
Trampolines were so awesome. <3 I still bust it out at parties for drunken lolz. Getting awful busted though, decided to stop using it once a kid got his foot caught in the springs around the edge. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

If you buy one from an actual sports store you will pay more but get a far better item. Though for your purposes the wal-mart one should serve you well. LawrenceHoward
Real men do not doubt the soapy-bikini method. And it's not dangerous with a net.. just be careful of slipping and kicking someone in the face. Because that has happened once.
