I've been waiting for this so much!!

So, if you have good reaons for becoming a mod, and have a good forum history behavior wise, and have been a member for a while, there is a good chance for being considered?

Man, I'll blow up in joy if I can become a Mod.

If you have everything that you mentioned, you will for sure be considered. But whether or not you have a good chance of being ACCEPTED mostly depends on how many people fulfill the criteria that you mentioned. If there are 100 people who have good reasons for becoming a moderator, good forum behavior, have been a member for a while, are helpful and kind to all users, etc., then you don't necessarily have a good chance of being a moderator because only like 5-10 (no idea how many the admins are picking) will be accepted anyway. Does that make sense? But it's hard to come up with solid numbers for things like this when every case is judged differently and there are so many factors to consider.

Hi, I just sent an application, however I don't think it filed through. It's still stuck in my outbox. Should I try resending it?

That just means that it hasn't been read yet ;) As soon as an Admin (I'm guessing they run the "staff_applications" account), it will be removed from the outbox, and will be in sent messages. The outbox just means that if you need to do any editing to your message, you can do so.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

When it says "Type as much as you need" how much are we actually expected to type? Paragraph? Couple paragraphs?

I know it says as much as you need but a lot of people don't mean that when they say it.

It's really just as much space as you require to fully answer the questions. A paragraph should suffice, but if you can further condense it, I'm sure a few sentences is okay too. If you need more than a paragraph to say everything that you would like to say, then that's fine too.

There is no specific number of sentences that you have to have in order to be considered. Your application will be read and considered regardless of how much you write. Of course, it would be best if you didn't half-[wagon] it and answer each question with half a sentence, and similarly, don't ramble on aimlessly.

One Quick question/suggestion. For the next applications should there be a certain amount of time requested for a member to have been a member of Tip.it? On the last drive I applied, I was sent a pm stating that my account was too new. Perhaps it would cut out some of the time it takes, and the effort of even sending a message like that.

Our assumption would be that most members would have the common sense to realise whether they are too new to the forum or haven't received enough posts yet though. We're never going to accept someone who has applied after being a member for a month as we simply have little to nothing to go on.

Yep.

Common sense goes a long ways in these things

"Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."

^ It's one of the best virus/spyware scanners that looks through everything for problems. Since tip.it requires your computer to be virus free the test can show them that the computer you use wont allow someone to hack your tip.it account.

I'm going away for 7 weeks, leaving on July 1st. I'm not sure how this will affect my application, or if it will at all.

I guess Das would be the person who would know?

It won't effect it.

All moderators will have to take a Hijack This test, no exceptions. You also have to have the most up to date versions of your particular brand of Virus/spyware/adware. We do not want to deal with a hacked moderator account.

HijackThis isn't a virus scanner in the sense of AVG 8.5. All it does is list every process currently running on your computer. It then creates a log which you give to the person who's going to check it.
