Guthan's or 68 Summoning?

Sommoning is the most underrated skill I have ever seen. Get 69. You will then have a Bunyip, terrorbird, war tortoise, and fruit bat, which is the best forager, imo. It forages watermelon seeds currently worth 3.4k ea.

Personally I'd summon. But I'm a massive fan of summoning.

Guthans is nice, but summoning opens up massive amounts of options when compared to guthans. But I would seriously work towards them both, guthans and 68/69 summoning allows you to do a lot of things.

Depends on how many charms you already have, what sort and your personal preference.

I'd reccomend both, but your current amount of charms would get you about 35-ish summoning. I'm too lazy to look it up, try to figure it out using the summoning guide and exp table.

Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it.

Suggestions appreciated

Use guthans to get the summoning level :D

In the long run guthans will be more expensive due to repairing it but its a cheap start.

Summoning starts off being expensive but once you have the level theres no need to carry on paying.

Summoning also gets your total levels up and your combat level.

imo summoning is better...i know i know it take time to get 68 but think about it...you buy guthan plus dont forget the repair cost..summoning is the way to go...but again its personaly choice

This is what I do for summoning/slayer/combat....

This is the best armour defence you can get from barrows. Boots/gauntlets are optional but there is nothing that is a whole lot better.

these stats can be found by searching barrows armour stats on google search...zybez has great charts on bonuses. all of this by todays prices will cost around 2.1mish...that might have changed from the 2 days ago that i checked it. But you get the rough price.

Dharoks chest/legs

Torag helm

Dragon boots

Dragon gauntlets

rune defender or obsidian shield your preference ( i choose defender)

Str amulet

ring of wealth (just cuz)

obby cape

and of course your choice of weapon.

And go train slayer cuz slayer monsters drop A LOT of charms. I trained slayer from 40-50 and was able to get summoning up to 48with the charms I picked up. By using the armour set up shown above you will have very good armour w/ whatever weapon you choose and you will be very effective at training slayer and getting charms... By following this guide you will train up to 3 skills at a time...a combat skill/slayer/and summoning.

This set-up leaves you plenty of cash to work w/ summoning. (assuming you could pretty much afford guthans).

So I hope I have helped you out in the least of ways. PM me in game with any questions.

Summoning. There are so many more things other than bunyip/healing familiars that are useful.

Depends on how many charms you already have, what sort and your personal preference.

I've got

420 gold charms

224 green charms

155 crimson charms

24 blue charms

That's really only enough for about lvl 40-50 I think.

If you have the charms, DEFINITELY summoning.

I have both.

I use bunyip with SGS.

Guthans is nice for lower levels because it can actually heal quite a lot, quite fast.

Bunyip is great when you have higher melee stats because you just need a bit of healing.
