Stev
As most know, the Saradomin GWD boss room has partly collapsed to make room for 'something'. THis, however, is coincidentally right behind the un-openable door. Many of my friends, and we aren't pros in RuneScape history, as far as we know Zaros had no play in the God Wars. However, this would make sense... A friend of mine mentioned that although we couldn't find any mention of Zaros in GWD, may it be possible that he was a part? He has been brought up a lot lately. From J-Mods 'hints' on the RSOF, to the PvP drops which are from the times of the GWD. Picture taken from notes obtained during 'The Curse Of Arrav'. Do we have a hint to the boss (Champion) that lay behind the unopenable door? All thoughts and comments are welcome. Keep in mind that, like I said, I am not a pro at RuneScape history like some. brunokiller
If you ask me it just says he was imprisoned around the time the God Wars happened. Doesn't mean he was involved with the God Wars Dungeon. My blog
Stev
But you don't think that with the several recent mentions of Zaros that the new boss will have something to do with him?
brunokiller
But you don't think that with the several recent mentions of Zaros that the new boss will have something to do with him? No because the God Wars happened when Zamorak was a god, and as we all know Zaros was banished from this realm when Zamorak became a god. So Zaros wasn't present at the God Wars. Xecer
You can't go around the fact that all gods have their champions at gwd. Zaros's champion is azzandra, it would make sense. Chompy Hunting guide (AoW)
Emmentail
Straws. Clutching. Zaros was banished long before the God Wars took place. They just made the room smaller so people couldn't solo Zilyana as easily anymore. GWD is supposed to be a team-dungeon after all..

However, this would make sense... A friend of mine mentioned that although we couldn't find any mention of Zaros in GWD, may it be possible that he was a part? I'm sure others can back me up on this, but according to RS lore, Zaros was "defeated" before the God Wars even began. It's even possible that Zaros being defeated let others know about the stone and started the war in the first place. We really dont know. There is no documentation on it. As for Zaros, Zamorak removed him (most likley with the use of the Stone of Jas and Staff of Armadyl) and took control/destroyed of all his forces. So any forces that Zaros once controlled are in the hands of Zamorak or long gone. Therefore, Zaros will not have his own boss in the GWD, since any of Zaros's monsters still alive are now property of Zamorak.

Omali
Has everyone forgotten who Azzanadra is? Azzanadra is the Mahjarrat who not only destroyed the army attacking Uzer, but was one of the few Mahjarrat to remain loyal to Zaros even after his banishment. He was so powerful that, even to the other Mahjarrat, they considered him to be invincible until a spell was cast on him to split him into four diamonds. In Desert Treasure, we combine those four diamonds and free Azzanadra, who is currently in a weakened state in the pyramid. He's not in the God Wars Dungeon, not even close, and considering we aided him and he taught us Ancient Magicks, I doubt he would want to kill us. You can't go around the fact that all gods have their champions at gwd. Zaros's champion is azzandra, it would make sense. You can't go around the fact that all gods have their champions at gwd. Zaros's champion is azzandra, it would make sense. Yes you can. Zaros was gone before the God Wars, Guthix's forces were not their own major faction, and the desert pantheon of gods did not take part in the battle that ensued in the God Wars Dungeon, and multiple other demi-gods. mervinator_9
Everything Omali said its spot on imo, Anyway If the door leads to Zaros' encampment then that would suggest he was/or his forces were active during the God wars and the freezing of the GWD which does not seem correct at all. My guess would be whats behind the door is what ever the four gods forces were there fighting to obtain and I doubt they were battling it out just to fight Zaros, but meh... who knows. Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs.
Omali
Zaros' forces who remained loyal to him after Zamorak's takeover are small in number, and are an even smaller faction today, probably rivaled by those of the Hazeel cult and Amascut. Very few know of his existence, and even less are loyal to him. If Zaros is ever reborn, as predicted by the Chaos Elemental, he had better get his strength back fast. Forget Zamorak, who cowers at the very thought of him, he's going to be directly competing against Lucien, who not only has his own agenda in taking down Zamorak, but also has the combined power of the Staff of Armadyl and Stone of Jas. I spy, with my little eye, one kickass battle coming in the future.
Krampell
Well, during the God Wars he was sealed into the pyramid in the desert where you get ancient magics. And has been there ever since you free him in Desert Treasure quest. So in another word. He was in the God Wars in the begining of that time but then sealed. So he has nothing and will have nothing to do with GWD.

Sy_Accursed
Zaros wasn't in the Godwars at all. Zamorak "killed" Zaros He was then banished by the other gods while they rapidly crushed and drove into hiding the Zarosian forces. Zamorak then came back and had become a god and thus started the god wars. Aeon_
Well, Guthix and Zaros are opposites right? One has to exist to stop the other from unbalancing Gielnor and destroying it. So that means they both have to be in the same dimension at the same time. Which means they COULD be behind the door (a different dimension), so that means that Zaros would have to return when Guthix returns, to keep the world balanced. Which means that with Lucien rising in power, they have to return to put a stop to it. I smell Zaros returning soon. :ohnoes: Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
