July 26, 200916 yr I am not doing this for that other dudes thread, I am doing this to share with ya'll my music. This is a lot of fun to do by the way, and i highly recommend taking the time to do it. Most of the albums listed are just my favorite albums from that particular person. If How2PK would like to add this to his "Master List", then go for it. ALSO, I don't want to be flamed for having very common music?, I love my common music, but comment however you will. Enjoy- This are not in any order, 1.Mayday Parade-A Lesson in Romantics *One of my top bands right now. There music is just all around great. I really like the singer, and how every song leads onto another. 5/5 2.Coldplay-Viva la Vida *This Album was actually one of my favorite Coldplay albums. Had great happy-go lucky music theme, with a nice touch of rock. 3.foo fighters-echoes,silence,patience,and grace *Quite Frankly, Foo Fighters are one of my all-time favorite rock/alternative bands. This album with hits like "Pretender" just increased how much i like them. 4.Framing Handley-The Moment *New and upcoming band. I love what they did with the lollipop remix, and that is what most people know these guys by, but actually the rest of their album is great. 5.Green Day-American Idiot *This is just a classic album from a classic rock-punk band. Hits like American Idiot/Holiday/etc. have led this band to greatness. 6.Panic at the Disco-Pretty. Odd. *This just surprised me. Great album, somewhat imitating of the "Mr. Blue Sky" crica, but hey. Panic at the Disco nailed this one. 7.The Killers-Sam's Town *This album got hit hard by the critics, but I thought it was one of their best albums. 8.Fall out Boy-From under the cork tree *One of my favorite bands, don't call me gay for liking them, but they have so many goods songs in this album. A little less then sixteen candles is my favorite. 9.Coheed&Cambria-Good Apollo I'm Burning IV *Never heard of these guys, until my friend mentioned them, but i'm glad he did because they are a great rock band. 10.Lit-A place in the sun *I love what lit did with these album, MY own worst Enemy may be in my top 20 songs. 11.Breaking Benjamin-Phobia *So many good songs in this album..Diary of Jane,Blow me way,Breath!...100/10 for this album. 12.Boston-Boston *!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite classic rock bands of all time. More Than a Feeling....all i have to say. 13.The Fray-How to save a life *This was a very touching album. Cable Car, and How to save a life were very touching songs to me personally. 14.Switchfoot-The beautiful Letdown *My Mom got me hooked on these guys, they have a great christian rock theme to them. If you haven't heard of them, i recommend them. 15.Story of the Year-Page Avenue *Heard of these guys off of a halo montage lol. They are great. 16.Linkin Park-Minutes to Midnight *First got my taste of linkin park with there re-make of numb/Encore with Jay-Z..loved them ever since. This album is just awesome, and should be rated above a 10/10. 17.Guns and Roses-Appetite for Destruction *Classic...enuff said:) 18.Fort Minor-Rising Tied *A new taste of rap, break-out group with this album. Also this album has lots of great pump up music. 19.Kanye West-The College Dropout *This album by Mr. West was spectacular. He really put his heart and soul into this one. With the song Family Business...I really felt where he was coming from. 20.Maino-If Tommorrow Never Comes. *Such a soul-full album by this new rapper. Maino hit it off right with all the above, which may be the best "rap" song of 09' 21. Lil Waynes-Tha carter *wow way to hit it off right mr. weezy this album has one of my favorite rap songs of all time-Go Dj. 22.Never Back Down Soundtrack *Great Movie, with one of the best movie soundtracks of all time. 23.Drake-Mixtapes *Wow never heard of this guy until Best i ever had came out. He is freaking amazing. 24.Nas-Illmatic *Classic old school rap right here. 25.Lil Waynes-The Drought 3 *The sky's the limit, and with this album lil wayne surpassed the sky. 26.AC/DC-Back in Black *Such a classic album--You shook me all night long, Hells Bells, and have a drink on me are highly recommended. 27.Rise Against-Sufferer and the Witness. *I just can't get off listening to this band. With their "f" the world attitude they killed it with this album. Prayer for the Refugee=10/10 28.Rise Against-Siren Song of the counter culture. *All the songs were great, but the one that stood out to me was Swing Life Away...I'm used to hearing them rocking out, but with the switch to alternative for this one song, well lets just say it made my day. 29.Asher Roth-Asleep in the Bread Aisle. *Drink my beer and smoke my weed. This white kid is sick, and his Freshman year album killed the charts. I love college! 30.Avenged Sevenfold-Avenged Sevenfold. *This self-titled album was absolutely Tremendous. Afterlife is one of my favorite rock songs atm. This was a nice touch to this already awesome band. 31.Birdman&Lil Weezy-Like Father like son *Holy crap this album was great. With the team-up of two great rap artists, they set the standard high for upcoming rap albums. There are just so many hype songs on this album...Stuntin Like my Daddy is by far the best. 32.Matchbox Twenty-Exile on Mainstream *This album gave a very new taste to the rock world. Very interesting, yet quite pleasing and happy music. 33.Matthew West-Happy *This album was great. I really never like christian gospel music, but he is great. Very touchy album. 34.Matthew West-History *Let's just follow-up with another great album by this christian singer. Absolutely great...a++ 35.Matthew West-Sellout :) *Why not put three of this awesome artist in a row. 36.Kanye West-808's and Heartbreaks. *Imo this album was great. IT got bashed a lot for him to be using autotune, but i thought it brought out a new side of Kanye. If you actually listen to the music, it is very touchy, and from the heart. 37.Ace Hood-Ruthless *This album is just hype. Possibly candidate for best rap album of 09' 38.3OH!3-Want *New band, weird music, but somehow i like. I dunno lol. 39.Big Tymers-Hood Rich *Great beats, old[er]-style southern rappers. 40.T.i-Paper Trails *WIth T.I heading off to jail, he wanted to release a very meaningful album. With this he had at least 8 touchy songs. By far the best was slide show ft. john legend. 5/5 41.Lupe Fiasco-Lupe Fiasco is cool *Never heard of this talented black rap artist. He is actually quite great . 42.Meatloaf-A bat out of hell *This oddly named band is great old-school rock and roll. For crying out loud is a 7/10 for me. 43.Ne-yo- Year of the Gentleman. *I am a big Ne-Yo fan. He brings a great R&B feel to music today. Probably over 75% of this album songs should be award winning. 44.Lil Wayne-Tha Carter 3 *No homo, but lil wayne got me a little stiff with this album. It just has so many hype songs on it, and a ton of sick rhymes. 45.Nickelback-The Long Road *This album had LOADS of radio hits. Usually this makes the album suck, but i really don't mind hearing these songs over and over again. Welllllll there it is :). I had loads of fun making this, and wish i had the time to make like a top 1000 list lol. Comments are appreciated! 88 [/bads]
July 26, 200916 yr *Uber flame for having common musics1@!@!!11* The killers arent bad, so I dont see why critics said Sams town was a bad album. I can assure it wasnt bad. Critics must not like indie musics? But I dislike the lil wayne. I actually ctrl + f peoples favourite artists/bands for "Lil Wayne" or just "Wayne" :? I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 26, 200916 yr Author *Rayoxide -Thanks for the comment. I agree Sam's Town was great, and I'm a Wayne fan, sorry :) [/bads]
July 26, 200916 yr 39.Big Tymers-Hood Rich *Superb old school rappers right here. The only way they could be considered old school rappers is if you were born sometime last week. Plus, anyone who even considers Birdman a rapper is marked down in my book - the man just can't rap. Edit: 37.Ace Hood-Ruthless *This album is just hype. Possibly candidate for best rap album of 09' Best album of 09? It wasn't even the best album of June (wasn't as good as AZ's album or Mos Def's to start with). He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
July 26, 200916 yr Author *1manarmy -I consider there style more old-school than most other rappers. Just personal opinion, but thanks for your comment. [/bads]
July 26, 200916 yr For God's sake. I know you said you weren't doing this for the Tip.it album list, but I think you're kind of ruining it for the rest of us. The whole thing was based around each user having their own week to share their music with the rest of the forums. The rest of us are patiently waiting for our turn. It's rather annoying when someone just goes ahead and makes their own list without being called up while the rest of us wait. I hope the whole album list idea doesn't go to waste. Btw; Green Day, classic rock? :wall:

July 26, 200916 yr *1manarmy -I consider there style more old-school than most other rappers. Just personal opinion, but thanks for your comment. You might consider it an old school style but it isn't, it's lazy modern street rhyming over modern Southern beats. Those points in itself doesn't make it a bad album (Birdman's lack of ability does that ;) ) but there is no way that any mixture of those rhymes and Mannie Fresh's beats can ever be considered old school. If you think that is an old school style, then I'd say listen to some Grandmaster Flash, some Kurtis Blow and some Shugerhill Gang and then compare and contrast. That all being said, I quite like some of Mannie Fresh's beat but not with Birdman or Mannie Fresh rapping on them. I don't mean all this as a flame but there just comes a point in a discussion where you go from 'difference of opinion' to just being wrong - you my friend are in the latter - I know because I've been there myself before. It's all good man, I see where your coming from, and i think i interpreted it wrong. To me they are a more old-style southern rap style. I agree Grandmaster Flash, Sugarhill, Maybe even early early Nas are considered the old school rappers, but again to me Big Tymers are have a older rap style. Thanks for your opinion! [/bads]
July 26, 200916 yr It'd be nice if you waited, but whatever -- the whole listen thing has been messed up already so who cares. I really can't agree with this list. A large number of albums on it would be on my top 45 worst. It is sort of laughable when you say things like "a classic album from a classic rock - punk band" for an album such as Green day's American Idiot. For the record I don't care if it is "common" music or not. I don't judge based on popularity.

July 26, 200916 yr I hate most of those bands, tbh. But thanks for breaking the trend of everyone only using obscure bands.
July 26, 200916 yr I hate most of those bands, tbh. But thanks for breaking the trend of everyone only using obscure bands. You should look carefully through everyone's lists, there are actually a good amount of well known artist, also just because you don't know the existence of them doesn't make them obscure...

July 26, 200916 yr Why can't people wait for their turn? I don't care if you haven't signed up to the sticky or not, it just [bleep]s it up. I've waited several weeks to post a list, but i'm not going to do it until i get a pm by someone. God damn annoying. J'adore aussi le sexe et les snuff moviesJe trouve que ce sont des purs moments de vieJe ne me reconnais plus dans les gensJe suis juste un cas désespérantEt comme personne ne viendra me réclamerJe terminerai comme un objet retrouvé
July 26, 200916 yr Seriously, 3OH!3 and Asher Roth? They have one good song each. Surprised The Lonely Island didn't feature. If you dont like Waking the fallen you arent musically educated If you say so. Seriously, A7X are godawful. I can't stand them. But I was brought up listening to (What's The Story?) Morning Glory, A Night At The Opera, Sgt Peppers, Imagine, Dark Side Of The Moon, Led Zeppelin I, Paranoid, Master of Puppets, Voodoo Child etc. Now think - does my hatred of A7X make me musically uneducated? Just because somebody isn't into a certain album doesn't affect how musically educated they are, it's just not necessarily their thing. Oh, and ignoring the other list was a dumb idea. You should've waited your turn like everybody else is doing. Maxed 15/06/13
July 26, 200916 yr And Avenged Sevenfold's self-titled was not their best. Have you heard their other albums? More importantly have you heard the band's guitarist? I'm not even joking, I think he might just be the worst guitarist in the world, especially considering his popularity and how long he's played. Fred Durst is a better and more technically proficient guitarplayer.

Christ it's just awful, he sounds like me after 10 beers. He doesn't even write his own solos, yet another reason why he's an abysmal musician.
