How many PP per turn do they give, and how many do they take to build?

Every race has different numbers, but the average is generally 200 or so. It gets higher depending on your research into construction, so I assume yours are 250 like mine, and cost 4000 each.

Also, how would you get a program into my ship computers? I think I have pretty far advanced anti-hack, virus etc software on them all

Thats easy, he would dial up the captain and say he was from maintainance come to fix the update manager that won't leave him alone =P

Either that or claim to be a Nigerian General(Which is strangely true) with 50 million dollars to put in your bank account.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Yeah, my ships use Norton 360. Smirk.

(This isn't meant to be against Dusty, but this definitely ends the debate. Dusty got his arctic plant mixed up with his drug. Only his plant wasn't Haven research.)

*This is not to be confused with Haven, the Britannian organisation that is in charge of the Second Life programme. This is Haven, a chain of islands between the Americas and Africa on Earth, where mutual research takes place.*

See I can never keep track of all this stuff :P

Doesn't really matter though, as Mather never had a team on Haven.

Project SW coming along.

Project RD has been started, pumping around 1T into it per year (Bio/Genetics research).

Shipyards in Holmgard will be complete soon.

Also, TFed is tearing down religious sites across Earth (that aren't to do with Norse paganism). The people who aren't pagans have had enough time to assimilate within the Federation that there's unlikely to me much fuss. However, troops are on ready status to quell any sort of unrest.

I'll assume my ships are back by now, so they'll continue moving asteroids into Yggdrasil's system, and hollowing them out to hold fighter squads and defensive turrets.

I guess so, the rings work as a construction tech since they remove the need of slow space-elevators.

And not a program on your computers, I just put a remote controlled device on it, it will connect to your main systems and take control of flight-control. But then why should I board you? I have no wish to become an enemy of your "people".

Boarding has basically been rendered useless, unless I add some notes about it. Anyways, none of your races could board my ships as they have.... water.

Can the Urk-Orz live in water without their suits? Anyways, I'll go and change the notes on my battleships around.

So what does everyone think about an attacking on Sephar?

I can send the actual goa'uld symbiots down, they would thrive there, or at least be able to survive there for a few millenia, but they wouldn't need to as they would come through the "vents"(what you use to circulate water) and sneak up on their possible hosts. But I won't board you.

And Sephar is the Urk-Orz foothold, right? In that case:

To simulate Teal'c;"That would indeed be quite beneficial, O'Neill."

We'd need everyone's support though.

People still have interest in playing this game, right?

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

With the apparent schism, I propose that we throw out some of the more complicated stuff that was dragging this game down to begin with, and we use the arbitrary system from the old Hegemony (and a neutral person can just be there to guarantee that the results are reasonable based on judgement).

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

I think that we are coming up to christmas. People are preparing for exams, and such.

Also the game is getting a bit heavy and other roleplays are starting which means people are less incline to play Hegemony as strongly as they used to(though to be honest if you removed all the spam people have probably posted at a fairly consistant rate)

With the NWO off of Earth in an Anti-Climaxatic non-event and the united Space fleets of Normal Space crushed there is not a huge amount to do... No one could invade someone elses planet, no one has a contensionous boarder with another planet...No one has a space fleet that has been terrorising a nearby planet...The Urk-Orz are safely tucked up in Sephar. The System of Free Worlds has been exiled to deep space. The Licht have occupied Japan and stopped attacking people...

Hegemony players have always(it seems) been apathetic at best so now space has been broken down into zones, and all the sides have more wealth than they can actually spend, and there is no posturing between powers, there is no real drive to change things. Unless something dramatic happens which takes peoples imaginations then there will not be a huge amount happening.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Is there any way for us to open a deep space portal (To a random location) you know just to make the game more... interesting. On a side note I like the scientific jargon its not that bad and it makes people (me included) think about how their tech would work.

Hey, archi, only about 15% of my fleet was destroyed, and more is built by now. So my fleet is still good :P

Here was my suggestion:

First: We are all on earth. Those who don't have countries must pick a new one. We all only start with one country, and those already on earth have first dibs on any countries they control (So dusty has dibs on most of Eurasia, I have dibs on Sa/NA/Africa, grim has dibs on indonesia etc.

Second: We are all human. Sorry to aliens.

Third: We keep all technology we had before, other than space technology. Alien technology can be turned into human technology.

Fourth: We may only travel in our solar system, and cannot terraform entire planets.

Fifth: We all have reasonable populations (I will decide what's reasonable).

Sixth: All improvements done to the land in the country you own (ie: germanias wall) will remain.

Hegemony-Spain

Pros and cons to that idea....

Fundermentally people like playing Hegemony for different reasons. What we have all done, me included, is split hegemony up into the parts that we like and created games to suit those needs.

Probably, but what would be out there?

Does this mean we've finially reached a golden age of peace and tranquility? Can we progress no further?

...

Did we win?

I honestly dont really want to do this. I think we are at a managable level and it would make pointless the decisions of certain people. Also this is just the lull before a storm... If I had to I could probably spark a war just to keep things interesting though.

I think we should get Hegemony 1 back as a seperate thread (not revice the old one, but start anew) and put it in the Offtopic. I know thats not where it belongs, but we had a lot more "new" people when it was out there. Then whe we get enough players, we can move it back into here. Maybe if we restrain ourselves and not post 10 pages within a day, people won't be so inclined to quit.

Yes.

Now go and get a cookie.

I say we move to new platforms. The civ IV tourney is interesting, and I do believe that I'm going to download Screenmonkey (Full version) if anybody perhaps wants to use it.
