System: Capiah

-

Planet: Capiah 1 and 2 (same stats)

Distance: 175,000,000 km

Radius: 8,000

Gravity: 1.3 G

Orbit Period: 390 days

Rotation: 22.8 hrs

Mean Temp: 18 C

Atmosphere: 1.2 ATM (N2 73%, O2 26%, Ar 1%,)

Hospitable

Population: 1,500,000,000

Moons: None

About it: Capiah is the most established colony besides that of Japan on Earth. With a quickly expanding population and abundant species of kelp, the settlers are thriving. The relatively large amount of land is still mostly unused, aside from defences, but future uses could be found.

Erikio is the seat of the Lichtes government and homeworld to most of its people. Skyscrapers exist that are taller than almost any structure on Earth, mainly because the buoyancy that the water provides. It is covered by 99% water, with the land harnessed to grow luxury food crops, meat, and defensive installations.

New Erikio has quickly been upgraded into a full scale military base. Massive underground tunnels snake through the continental shelf and deeper into the sea crust. The majority of Lichtes citizens live here, sheltered from infectious viruses and invading aliens by the limitless fortifications and defences. This is a major Iridium monopole mining base. Deep within the tunnels, the worst of society (over 200 million) trudge down into the mines to get as much Iridium ion as they can. The ones that give above average get a comfortable bed for the night, while those below average can either go back to their homes or go down to get more Iridium to get a bed.

Name: Coilguns

Completion Date: December 20th

Effects: Uses monopoles to power a gun which has little to no recoil

Name: Scram Cannon

Completion Date: Christmas!

Effects: Uses Kinetic energy and supersonic combustion to launch a projectile as far as other weapons without the complexity.

Name: Sector E battlestation

Completion Date: December 7th

Effects: Helps defend Japan from space attacks

Name: Earth to Space Artillery Batteries

Completion Date: December 7th

Effects: Massive Artillery and Flak installations are built on land and flotation devices on sea. The ones on land often have a tunnel that goes down into the main tunnels, but these are sealed except during peacetime. Though the projectiles cannot aim straight (due to the winds), the massive amounts of artillery flying through the air and the expanse of their fleet makes it easy to hit. If the enemy begins to land, then it will be far easier to hit them.

I dunno.

Ok, mather that's so stupid. I don't care if you're not gonna use it, if you put a 100 tons of naquadah next to a match and it would explode with the force of 200 gigajoules or so.

@Dusty/Doom:

That is an interesting problem that could arise. Haven does not have enough facilities in order to place everyone under stasis, just enough for the few chronically suicidal patients that we have and people that have diseases that are currently incurable. Suicidal patients who seek SL must first get psychological evaluations from Haven in order to filter out liars and to determine the severity of one's chronic depression. Suicidal patients receive some treatment during Second Life in order to cure chemical imbalances. Some patients are given the option to wake up if they are ready to live in the real world again, and some patients who are so severely suicidal that they cannot be treated are allowed to stay in stasis indefinitely. Those with currently incurable diseases are allowed to wake up by doctors once a cure has been found. Then, they live out the remainder of their long lives.

Haven does understand that not everyone can be under Second Life, so they have allowed SL to be used as a form of entertainment on colony ships, and they have developed headsets that are similar to Second Life, except these headsets don't involve stasis, and they only manipulate one's dreams in order to create lucid dreams. Therefore, nightmares are eliminated, and people get to choose what they dream about. People do understand that the world works this way, and they are generally contempt that they can experience a form of simulated reality during their REM sleep; they understand that if too many people are in Second Life, then everyone will die from starvation (which would destroy Second Life anyway).

The headsets are like favourite TV programmes that can be watched every night. It's still easy to live in the real world, which isn't that bad either. Also, it should be noticed that those who are diagnosed with incurable diseases and people who are chronically suicidal make up a very small portion of the population, a portion that wouldn't be productive anyway.

Anyway, there's a massive throne (too big for a human to sit on) in the cathedral-styled interior of the Temple.

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

In my largest temple (in Erikio), there is a Bonsai-style Kelp plant. Unlike normal Bonsai, this one is shaped large and spans thousands of feet. It's a national treasure and has its own "royalty".

The throne is an electric chair, so go right ahead Dusty.

Nah, I have no idea, really.

No, since a match ain't nuclear. If you put 100 tons of naquadah next to a small nuke however.

Why are you against nuclear firships with several trillion dollars worth of naquadah to boost the explotion? I'm using it against a common enemy remember that.

I'm not in a sticky situation, I just got pissed.

This was an OT thread, it was moved here for the reason that it neither fit in OT or Forum Games, this is not role-play, it was only classified light RP because that was the only genre that it wasn't the "opposite" of.

Its just a couple of guys, a couple of girls, sitting around pretending to be rulers to intergalactic civilisations, who need a war judge, who argue constantly, who consult tech manuals daily....

I have no idea where I got the idea that this was a roleplay.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Had we told of our own actions this would have been roleplay, but this is more like Civilization/Age of Empres/the Settlers, we are controlling a non-visual virtual domain, not a character.

AMG! (Omg with a fun accent) Let's just drop this super explosive thing and find other uses for this Naquadah thingy. Like super coilguns using Iridium monopole and super conductors to make frictionless(ish) power. :D

They can be used as extreme superconductors(amplifies power), but I am not allowed to use it in large amounts that way.
