a_bert
Some stats on the current state of India; With an average annual GDP growth rate of 5.8% for the past two decades, the economy is among the fastest growing in the world. - 2009 Let's say that at best, the growth rate dropped to 2.5% a year for 20 years, and then grew only 0.5% until 2048. With a GDP of 3.469 trillion in 2009, by 2048 that should be.. 6.011 trillion. 20% taxes will get you 1.202 trillion a year. 20% of this is 240 billion. [ point 1) - lol] 1 trillion sounds reasonable to me. The ISS only cost a maximum of 100 billion. GDP of my other countries Japan's GDP in 2009 was 4.354 trillion, However, GDP per worker has increased steadily even through the nineties, growing at 2.0% per year in 2003 and 2004, and 2.8 percent in 2005. Unlike previous recovery trends, domestic consumption has been the dominant factor in leading the growth. As predicted, the economic recovery continued in 2006 and 2007. So we'll say a 2% growth for 20 years, and a 1.2% growth for the next 10, with a final 0.7% growth for the next 8 giving a final GDP of 8.413 trillion. 20% of that is 1.682 trillion. 20% of that is 336 billion The Philippines GDP in 2009 was 320 billion. It is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, posting a real GDP growth rate of 7.3% in the year 2007. Growth slowed to 4.5% in 2008 as a result of the global financial crisis. Let's say that coming out of the recession GDP increased by 6% for 8 years, 4% for 17 years, 3% for 13 years. Giving a final GDP of 1.458 trillion. 20% of that is 291 billion. 20% of that is 58 billion Papua New Guinea's GDP was 13 billion in 2009. Not so much info about this place; Growth increased to 3.6% in 1999 and may be even higher in 2000, say 4.3%. Let's say that during Japan's influence in 2010-2021 the GDP increased by 5% every year, then during my downtime, the next 22 years, GDP increased by only 2%, and in the final 5 years it's increased 7%. Total GDP of 48 billion. 12% of that is 5 billion. 20% of that is 1 billion The Solomon islands; 2009 GDP was 1.1 billion. GDP - real growth rate: 5.8% (2003 est.) We'll say there's been a steady growth rate of 3.2% up till now. Giving a GDP of 3.64 billion 12% of that is 430 million. 20% of that is 86 million This gives me 3.176 trillion a year total, with 635.2 billion of it being surplus cash to use. a_bert
Just to check Sere, because there's been no map for AAAAGES, your countries are Ireland, Britain and Canada, right? GDP of Britain in 2009 was 2.230 trillion. In May 2009 the European Commission (EC) stated: "The UK economy is now clearly experiencing one of its worst recessions in recent history." The EC expected GDP to decline 3.8pc in 2009 and projected that growth will remain negative for the first three quarters of 2009. It predicted two quarters of "virtual stagnation" in late 2009-early 2010, followed by a gradual return to "slight positive growth by late 2010". We'll say an increase of 0.4% for the first 10 years, then 0.8% for the next 10, and 1.38 for 8 and 1.8 for the last 10. Giving a 2048 GDP of 4.421 trillion 20% of that is 884 billion. GDP of Ireland was 231 billion (USD, I converted it, as norm) in 2005. GDP growth 4.7% (2005 est.) Because I was harsh (I think) with Britain, we'll say sustained growth of 4.3% for 12 years, 3% for 8 years, and then 2.3% for 10 years, 2% growth for the last 8. Giving a final GDP of 712 billion 20% of that is 142 billion. GDP of Canada in 2009 was 1.303 trillion GDP growth 0.5% (2008) 0.5% growth for 6 years, 1.2% growth for 6 after that, 1.8% growth for 18 years, and then 2.3% growth in the final 8. Giving a final GDP of 2.385 20% of that is 477 million. Giving you a final "budget" of 1.503 trillion, or 1503 billion 20% of that is 300.6 billion 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I! The Dark Lord
Just to check Sere, because there's been no map for AAAAGES, your countries are Ireland, Britain and Canada, right? Yes. I have all of Ireland, all of Britain, and most of Canada. Any population on the Canadian arctic isles are negligible, especially since I don't own them. I don't have Quebec, but I think that's only about 5 million people anyway. I think I have around 120,000,000 citizens, but not sure. a_bert
I've done your GDP. Forgot you didn't have Quebec, but the (unintended) harshness of Britain's GDP probably cancels it out. (If you see any mistakes, please tell me - the same goes for my GDP) I'm fine with either Rpg or Dungeonal as the NWO leader, to be honest. Hurrr. I got here first! [Any objections? I don't see why we need a leader to be honest, but I guess it means I have to accept all responsibility for the NWO as leader, which I'm happy to do.] 'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I! a_bert
As part of a deal with Rocco to do with India, we'll be giving him an undisclosed amount every year to help him out. Okay, so 80% instead of 90%. It's a negligable difference. Okay. That gives me around 750 billion a year to spend on "extra" things, I think. That sounds reasonable? Wisp
The way I calculate spending money is 20% of gdp, then 10-20% of that. Maintaining a country takes a [cabbage]load. If you go over that, you take money away from other stuff, which makes your country worse overall. So if you go over your yearly budget, you go into debt. And the ISS cost like 500 billion, or so. I think 300 billion. And whoever wanted to buy 10 million AK's, that'd be 20 billion. Ready next year. Also, you guys are being a lot more liberal than I was with gdp, but as long as it's not too out of hand it's ok. What exactly is the purpose of the NWO? Wisp
I guess I'm getting my projects confused, I've done a lot of reading in relations to this thread, so I guess something else must have cost 300-500 billion And you're not being too liberal with gdp, just keep it down a few percents lower per year (except when you're only going up by 2% a year or something. I'm off to bed now, but if someone has any idea where the latest map is (preferably with India updated to my control) and they posted it I would be very grateful! ThurinEthir
dungeonal, did we agree to open borders? (can't remember what happened when I first asked for trade/OB/alliance/something) If not, can we? My troops shouldn't be a threat, you can guard that area (Sikkim, I think) with a ton of your troops or some futuristic defense system for all I care. I've taken Nepal, nonetheless. The battle of Kathmandu was short, although bloodier than I expected. Lost about 3,000 troops on my side, they've lost up to 7,000. Anyway, they've surrendered, et cetera, Nepal is now mine, yay. This puts my current territory at: -Taiwan -Bhutan -Nepal -Brunei -Tonga -Samoa So if any of you want to take the challenge of updating the map (which was last posted like 20 pages ago  ), that's what I have. Also made that list so it'll help when I calculate some stats later. I'd update the map myself, but seeing as how badly I failed last time I tried, and I'm kind of busy now, sorry. ThurinEthir
CALCULATIONS ARE FUN (I'm assuming we're in 2050 now. If not, close enough. And I'm rounding some numbers - some up, some down) Taiwan: -Population: 30 million (projected is 20 million, which is a decrease, which wouldn't be the case due to my awesome health care and the fact that very few people are moving out of the country) -GDP: $450b Bhutan: -Population: 1 million -GDP: $1.6b Nepal: -Population: 46 million -GDP: $2b Brunei: -Population: 650,000 -GDP: $25b Tonga: -Population: 180,000 -GDP: $500m Samoa: -Population: 400,000 -GDP: $900m TOTAL: -Population: 78,530,000 -GDP: $480b Too tired after all that math to figure out how to improve the conditions in my new territories. Brunei is doing great, Samoa and Tonga are doing alright, though Bhutan and Nepal definitely need some work...which is what I'll be spending most of my money on, I guess. If I did my math right (probably not), I have about $15m to spend on projects. :? Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
