Stealing Kills/Drops/Training/Time

You can be peacefully training or getting drops somewhere quiet when suddenly piles of people show up. Now, you cant train, have to fight for drops, and get called a noob when you politely ask them to leave. Why do people think that they can come in and steal your kills and drops?

People should have a little respect for who was there first and switch worlds or go somewhere else. Im currently at ankous, started out alone getting lots of drops and xp, now I am overcrowded and cant do anything. Its a waste of time and I don't want to have to keep moving.

This applies especially to rangers, they can hit the npc's faster than melee people can, so they just hog all the enemies.

I guess they can, because they technically CAN. Your issues is whether they should. And since they don't seemto have a problem getting the kills and you have the problem, it's up to you to solve it, which means leaving.

Competition is such an inconvenience huh?

Its not competition, its just rude.

I can get as many kills as them, but why should they, who came in later, get the same as me, who's been there for a while.

They are not breaking rules, deal with them by either trying to beat them or find another world.

I know when someone comes to my training spot for slayer and tries to get "my" spawns, I usually end up half killing all I can and wait for the person to leave on their own. Works wonder at high profile monsters such as abyssal demons. The same applies at kalphites with cannon, i usually put it to scare other slayers away and pick it up when everyone's gone.

It's all about tactics.

Because they can. Because Jagex doesn't prohibit it. Because it's a game.

This normally doesn't bother me, I just ask them to please change worlds(remember to say please it helps) and normally they are nice enough to change worlds. But, in some cases people are rude enough to say something like this "hop this is my world now" or "you hop I don't care if you were here first, I'm higher level then you" that's what makes me mad. I'm only talking about places where there are only a couple of monsters or it is multi combat and they purposely steal kills in an attempt to make you leave. Otherwise, i'll just share the world because they're are plenty of monsters.

Hmm...*looks around for a "first come first serve" sign*

It might be basic courtesy to not steal kills/whatever, but its the internet, and they are tons of rude people around. Just switch worlds, etc. Or use some quick weapons/whatever. Darts? I don't know.

If you're worried about someone stealing your kills and it's a multicombat area, try take a cannon.

Works wonders driving away people who try to steal your spot. \'

It is competition, and it is rude.

This is a game primarily where people compete for resources. Sharing spots just reduces your productivity.

Let me give you a quick economics lesson. There are two major forms of economics in the world, capitalism and socialism. (I know there are others, but for this example the two "biggies" work.)

In a capitalist society the best comes out on top. Due to the nature of competition, only those people who can be more competitive can win in the long run, by undercutting, altering supply and demand, etc. Some of these tricks are legitimate and encourage free market, and some are dirty and manipulate the system. They all work to make "the best man win."

In a socialist society, everyone is equal. Everyone does the same amount of work and recieves the same rewards. This never works, because people are by nature lazy, manipulative and whiny, so they prefer to sit back and let others work for them. Those that do work resent the treatment and soon stop, so the entire economy collapses.

(I realize I've oversimplified a bit, but I think the definitions are accurate enough to move on to the point:)

Now, the Runescape economy aside, the rest of the game is designed to be capitalist. The player with the highest level (and fastest connection) is going to get most of the kills. There are three things that can be done about this:

1. You can go to a different area, or a different world and continue killing in peace.

2. You can improve your level, or alter you form of combat to allow yourself to continue to be competitive, or

3. You can complain about "your" kills being "stolen," come to tif and rant about players of higher level performing better than you, then wait until Jagex paints runescape red.

Either of the first two will work and allow you to continue enjoying the game. The third option, the one you seem to have chosen, is the only incorrect one.

Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown; ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid is forever.

I agree, being a ranger :D

To Xaiier;

Do you see your name on the spot? Not trying to sound like a jerk, but just because someone comes and starts to take your kills, it doesn't mean you should ask them to leave, then get mad when they say no. And the only time I find a ranger an inconvinence is when they are safe spotting and attacking ALL of the monsters, stopping you from attacking one.

COMPLETELY OFF-TOPIC: In which CC is everyone in, because I am finding myself lonely in Rs :(

What would be cool is if Drakan and his minions kill all the sig heroes in the quest except Raptor who is wrecking. You and him team up and cave in some vampyre heads. He becomes a total bro in future quests and in a GM quest he receives a fatal injury and his last dying words to you are "Brofist, mang"

claim the kill by bringing mage runes or darts to shoot the monster then when its close enough swithc to melle not that hard to figure out...

Mhm, I used to practically live at ankou. They drop black knives or something which are ideally suited to this purpose.

Equally, it isn't your spot and this game features an element of competition. Either play the game and fight them for the spot, or don't, and fall behind.
