What movie(s) did you last see?

Featured Replies

Paranormal Activity 2. It was pretty good, but I didn't like how it confirmed the theater ending of the first one. I liked both of those alternate endings better. Anyway, it was better than the first in some ways, not as good in others. I'd consider it a win.

Found some decent quality copies of Inception and Toy Story 3, so me and the gf watched them both. Kind of an odd combination, yeah.

But Toy Story 3 was [bleep]ing adorable. I spent the entire time pretty much just grinning, because it was so awesome.

Inception was also pretty cool. Why does Nolan always want to put a bag over Cillian Murphy's head? He's so pretty. :<

Anger Management- I've seen this movie a few times before. Some parts still make me laugh.

You have to go into that movie expecting it to be bad, then you'll enjoy it.

We had to watch The Trojan Women in my Ancient Greek Art class today... worst movie ever. It was an hour and 45 minutes of women sitting around in the dust screaming and then trying to kill Helen of Troy >_<

Then I randomly watched Mighty Joe Young tonight for fun.

Watched The Prestige and Solomon Kane after class today, and watching Gran Torino right now. Watched the Bourne Trilogy yesterday, and Star Trek, Robin Hood, and Salt last week.

Iron Man 2. Possibly the worst movie ever made. :???:

I watched The Rescuers Down Under today. I had see it when I was little but I never quite realized how dark it is for a kids movie :|

[hide=At the end...]The poacher dangles his prisoner (a 10 (?) year old boy) above some crocodiles and slowly starts lowering him down to feed him to them... :|[/hide]

Iron Man 2. Possibly the worst movie ever made. :???:

Hardly. Although it wasn't nearly as good as the first...

The Hurt Locker.

Somewhat disappointed by how it was portrayed in reviews.

I will put my boots on.

I will pass on down the corridor.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - So [bleep]ing awesome, I can't even describe.

Oh god this. Awesome movie. Just watched it.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Best thing to do with someone who says a popular movie is the worst movie ever is to just ignore them, it gets them hard when someone tries to argue with them.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was one of my favourite actresses long before Scott Pilgrim ever existed, but I will say that after seeing her as Ramona Flowers I fell in love completely.

Did you read the comic before seeing the movie? It's definitely worth reading once, even if you don't like comics  , especially if you liked the movie.

500 Days of Summer. I was forced to watch it, but I'll admit that it wasn't at all bad.

I need to find the comics, but yeah, she did a pretty good performance.

You make it sound so intriguing. Let's start shall we?

The protagonist (the superhero/role model Iron Man at that) was an irresponsible pompous annoying little [puncture] of a fool. The plot was just a bunch of bumbling around from one scene to another. I have never witnessed a movie with this much absence of flow before. Oh and what was it that the plot circumducts around? A lousy contract. I have exerted a gargantuan amount of blood and sweat to unearth some meaning... any meaning... I really did. Over and over again, my conclusion was that there was none to be dug up, no matter how deep you shove that shovel down in that dark apocalyptic trench. Let's not forget how Samuel Jackson was sporadically thrown into the mix for the sake of sporadically throwing Samuel Jackson into the mix! Minus at least 10 points there. Now let's cover the CGI and effects. Ooooooh ahhhhh... Dis mohvie deserfs fiove star out of fiove cuz of firworks. The amount of money that has come into contact with this film causes me to cringe involuntarily. My expectations were exceptionally low, and even they have been eclipsed by the corporeal horrors today's society has to offer to me. It caused me to resent the public even moreso than I already do which is a mind-boggling feat to accomplish, therefore it is the worst movie of all time. Calling it a popular movie, and using the argument "if someone calls a popular movie the worst they've seen then it's best to ignore them cause they're obviously wrong" only exacerbates that. Maybe if it wasn't so highly revered I wouldn't have such a negative stigma about it and the current state of the film industry. But no, for some reason it's a crowd-pleaser. Also, it does not come as a surprise to me that this forum would defend and shelter something of that magnitude of abhorrence, which is the main reason I willingly posted how am I am so militantly in opposition to it's quality. Rebuttals? Or better yet, what the hell is worse than that warm pile of excrement?

Case in point. In one sentence, you just proved that Iron Man 2 being the worst movie ever made isn't merely just my own opinionated belief - it's a cold hard objective fact. That was a lot sooner than I expected.

So an annoying protagonist makes a movie bad?

The plot was just a bunch of bumbling around from one scene to another. I have never witnessed a movie with this much absence of flow before.

Then you obviously haven't seen very many movies.

Ahh yes, I forgot how rare truly meaningless movies were today in Hollywood's arsenal.

Let's not forget how Samuel Jackson was sporadically thrown into the mix for the sake of sporadically throwing Samuel Jackson into the mix! Minus at least 10 points there.

Snakes on a plane: Entire movie based on Samula Jackson sporadically thrown into the mix for the sake of sporadically throwing Samuel Jackson in the mix.

So you're saying the effects were bad? You've obviously not seen very many movies then.

See, the only thing I'm aruguing with is your ridiculous assumption that it's the "worst movie ever made". It truly was a terrible movie, but I've seen much, much worse. Going into that film expecting great cinema is naive at best; with something like this you get what you should expect.

Worse movies:

Ever heard of "the room"?
