I saw this contest on Gamespot and thought it would be cool to post it here. Basically Gamespot has been compiling a list of some of the biggest and best game hero's in all games up to this point. They have layed it out in a tournament style, and will hold polls of its users to see who would win in a contest. If you register for an account, you can make your own bracket to see how they match up. Though you can keep track of your choices without an account, it is convenient to have them saved on Gamespots site.

Obviously the well known characters will make it further than the obscure ones, but it will be interesting to see how Gamespots community votes on these characters.

 

 

 

I myself see Mario and Snake facing off in the final round.

I want Earthworm Jim or Duke Nukem to win.

 

But Jim wont make it past the first round because hes fighting link.

I want Sonic to win, but he'll face Master Chief in the second round so that will knock him out right away. I'm waiting for the showdown between Mario and Master Chief. It'll be interesting to see who moves on (assuming both make it).

I'm thinking Dig Dug Vs. Master Chief and Ryu Vs. Bo Jackson with Dig Dug coming out on top overall.

Will Duke Nukem beat Marcus Fenix? They're both pretty badass...

 

 

 

I think Kratos and Master Chief will make it to the top, even though Ryu Hayabusa, Ratchet & Clank, and Jak & Daxter deserve it more than the Chief.

Your right. They do it, and every year it's either a joke character that wins (The L-shape block) or a huge fanboy-base favourite (Usually Sepherioth).

Well, i seriously hope either link or samus wins, but i know the final will be between Kratos/Mario vs Master Chief/Link.

I filled it out, didn't know who half the chars were, so I picked them based on their names. My final two were Link and Kirby. (Final four - Mario, Kirby, Link, and Snake)
