Just because you're mad doesn't mean you have to **** out the whole world. Manage thy anger, or thy anger will manage you.

Second, I know just what you're talking about. My last half-dozen clue scrolls have been crap, and they weren't exactly easy to do. (One had nothing but 6 Uri's Emotes in various random places across the globe...) However, I know that next time, the loot could be better. And most times, the loot sure as heck can't get worse.

Also, you shouldn't be mad for it "wasting" your time. You're playing Runescape for crying out loud, that a big enough time-waster as-is. So unless some terrorist kept you strapped to a chair until your clue was done, I have no pity for the fact that it "wasted your time." True, people can get mad at what they want to, but it does seem a tad ridiculous to get this explosive over clue scrolls producing more worthless junk.

Rest assured, though, that we all have felt this before, just most likely in a less.... artistically expressive manner. (You might refer to the mini-explosion I caused on the Rs Screenshots thread in General Discussion. Oops.) So, basically, cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it. Because there's no point in whining about stuff when you could be out there fixing it.

Being an absolute clue nutter, I've learnt how to incorporate my cluescroll time into doing other things while I'm in the area... I almost 99.9% get total junk but it takes me to places I normally can't be asked going to and I pick up a few items that I need... TBH when you get your 3A piece while I don't I won't be ranting about it. I've done literally thousands of individual treasure trails.

Trails have been pretty well screwed up. I hardly even did them anymore. If I had the space, I'd keep it and do it. If I didn't, I wouldn't hesitate to drop it to get some note pure essences or some runes or whatever.

I was pretty peed with a series of clues I had (best item was a rune cbow out of 4 level 3 clues :wall: ).

Then I did a level 1 clue from MTK and got a wizard hat (t) \' clues are wierd and wonderful. Just take a break from doing them then come back to them.

Clues are a nice side-track from the Slayer grind, so I do every one I get. It's definitely paid off, and I'm not disappointed at all when I get junk clues, I could get 10k and still be happy. Aside from that darn Cat-door pyramid being so popular for Double Agents, I don't find any real frustration. They're like mini-quests after all. ::'

Here's an idea, once you get a clue scroll just drop it :D. Now you won't have to worry about all those hard puzzles and digging in places that the clue says to dig. But if you choose to do your scroll and get a bad reward who cares. Nobody said life was fair.

Yeah, I hate it when I don't get a valuable drop every single day I'm out busting [wagon] in slayer, or when I find a good ol' bird's nest only to find that it doesn't contain a green or blue egg.

Stop being so contrived; you wouldn't be frustrated if what you wanted wasn't valuable (double negative ftw \' ). It happens in life. If you want money, go do dailies; sell coal you get from Kingdom, make bstaves and alch them, craft nats through the abyss, cut yews and fletch your bows with the free 120 flax. There's plenty of other money makers out there; clues are just a bonus.

edit: that's also how vegas works, except you gamble time in clues and not money.

I've always thought that the point behind clue scrolls was going on a treasure hunt for a bunch of (usually) random crap. Going into these things you should know you have a fairly slim chance of obtaining something valuable.

I personally love clue scrolls, in particular level 1s and 2... Level 3s normally give around 250k min (on avg) and can give up to 70m... So even if you spend an hour doing one, you've still made a little profit.

I've done 5 level 1 clues on my new account, and recieved 3 pages and 2 (H) shields... All of them about 20minute clues.

In level 2s i've recieved similar rewards...

You should know its all down to luck... If you keep failing to get a reward YOU deem neccesary, then stop doing them...

It happens. The most important things to remember in times like these:

+On average, clues are worth doing.

+Your odds are the same as everyone else's

+If the valuable loot you're likely fishing for were more common, it wouldn't be valuable!

If the rare rewards were more common, they would be less expensive, and no longer considered a 'good' reward. Therefore, you would still be ranting about never getting any rare items.

Egregious logic.

Good say sir. He's 100% correct.

You hit the nail on the head.
