RoT, without some form of competition they'll have to adapt or die. I also heard rumors they were going to close before and now with their longest rival gone can really kill the drive.

This topic will stay open assuming it generates some discussion not just posts of the clans that will die, give a reason(s).

GK isn't doing too well at the moment, but they still have some quality members left. If this was gambling, I wouldn't bet a place for them to enter the top 10 within next 6-8 months but I wouldn't place a bet on them duying during that period either.

If we look at the serious clans that have died lately (SE, DI) they weren't exactly in problems. They were active, getting new recruits and doing pretty well in fights. Because of this I'd rather look at clans that have inner problems at the moment than blindly stare at the memberlists. I'd rather vote on clans like RoT or DK here...

* RoT = They basically lost a long time rival. Rivalries usually keep clans alive, active and dedicated. If they can't find a new rival, they might start going down. It might also lead into interclan problems, seeing that a major thing that united them is now gone.

* DK = Rivalry with NI and PH is affecting on them already. Add that to some leadership issues (leading figures - not exatcly absolute leaders - leaving.) and you got a mixture of a clan that is struggling. They could also survive from this and be back at the top stronger than ever, but I'd say that the chances are higher for their closing than for GK's for example.

I wouldn't go with those clans you mentioned, Hohto. While Gladz were PK'ing last night, 3 clans were PK'ing - NI, VR & DK. CoR & RoT were fighting.

Those two clans that you mentioned made up a decent number of people in the Wilderness. DK had ~120 options which shows they're not being affected too much by NI (who were PK'ing with PH *again* - perhaps they have more issues?). RoT also have shown they're willing to move into F2P more so the loss of DI will change the direction of the clan, not defeat the clan.

Some months ago DK was giving up decent fights to clans ranked between 8 and 11. With TR we had fights numerous times per week and despite the fact we won vast majority of them, they gave a good challenge and could pull a lot more than just 120 opts, including few VR members. Now they are easy to clean, they mainly "ac" at higher levels and stick at BH. I'd personally say that DK has had percentually the biggest fall in the clan scene during the last 4 months or so: from a serious threat to a small group. I'd say DK's future depends from VR, PH and NI: if VR keeps letting their members to team with DK, they are a serious threat to NI and PH. If NI and PH can crush DK often enough, they will sink like Lucitania.

RoT also have shown they're willing to move into F2P more so the loss of DI will change the direction of the clan, not defeat the clan.

Jumps from f2p to p2p or visa versa are never easy. When majority of the people are there for activity in one, it doesn't mean they would automaticly jump to the other and do well there. That kind of change almost killed RSD in 2006 and I'm sure if RoT doesn't find activity from p2p, they will slump really hard. F2P can give them a bit more, but it doesn't change the fact that multiple RoT people are there for the sake of p2p pkin, not just for "being part of RoT". I'd personally want to see RoT adapting well to the f2p, but the chances are pretty high that they won't, at least not without having to go through a rough moment.

I can't say I agree with DK closing - they've faked it so much that I think their incapable of the actual thing.

As for RoT, certainly they took a huge blow when DI closed. They do have other p2p clans to fight, but no one anywhere near the caliber of DI. RoT will have to adapt to f2p to survive. They have done some f2p in the past, and as Mrmyk said they were fighting corr. I could see them surviving this but it won't be easy.

As for GK and KO, I haven't been following them much.

DK used to be able to easily pull ~200 opts no problem, so I think that they could be in trouble as they're pulling far less now although it is enough to survive, for now. As for NI and PH pking together, that's like saying "Oh look at CoR and DF pk together to hit VR, I think maybe those 2 have problems," when clearly they're still very powerful clans. NI and PH are succeeding in the same target of killing DK, which means neither of them have problems tbh.

On topic though, a lot of these opinions will sound like trolls, but the majority saying GK and KO are probably right. They've both had awful slumps, and on track record from earlier this year, the majority of clans that've had a mass slump have closed. But not all, and this gives them hope. Another clan that has slumped abit is TNC, who were pulling ~150, but only pulled ~60 to their fight against THE the other week.

I don't think we will see any clans on tipit or RSC die in the near future... The clans that closed recently were pretty shocking and it made people think that the communities were vulnerable and that maybe more would end up giving in and letting go and closing the clans... I don't think clans are having it too bad.

Slumps are a part of clan life, if your clan has not had a slump yet then it probably will at some point. I have found from my 3+ years in BK that slumps make clans stronger in the long run, unless a clan isn't established then slumps are not often a reason for a clan to go under. KO is well established and even if they are slumping, I think they have a big enough core of members that even if they are down to the bare bones they will have the ability to bounce back. GK, as a clan that relatively recently reopened, may not have the same thing but we will see. I think they have what it takes to make it through.

RoT are actually pretty good in F2P PvP, they have the sniping down and they pull good numbers which are the two main components of PKRI's at the moment, I think the transition will be easy enough for them to make, on the other hand I don't know how interested they will keep their members if they do try to change over... Will be interested to see where they go from here.

As for the next clan to die I wouldn't like to speculate but I will say what I have said before... Clans that have one main person as leader or an influential figure that runs the clan are more vulnerable than others, Sarrakas and the long standing leadership of SE closed the clan without anything close to a slump and Ghjjf ofcourse just upped and left RS and didn't want to hand DI to any new leaders (despite not being a founder of the clan). Other clans have closed under similar circumstances aswell, it is becoming a recurring theme from what I have seen and the focus on the clans slumping and clans that have been put in difficult positions may be misplaced.

I don't know how clans think of their leaders or the power structures within so I can't specify a clan.

Do you want to love me?

Next clan to die: KO

Next top 10 to die: corruption or atleast get under 20 ppl, think enzock will stay till the end

Next clan to almost die and comeback again: PKM, i predict it will be jimmy and decebel to the end and then they will mass recruit to 20 ppl

I have to agree with the first two, but quick note: PKM already almost died and came back again.

And I'd add Dbz to that list.

And my name is spelled Decebal.
