Cptbaker08
I doubti it will hurt you. I got one in the 4th grade and it was nothing major. It shouldn't keep you from getting into a good college or ne thing. Just don't expect to get in if you get expelled from school. CookMePlox
Generally, unless you get in more trouble, a suspension won't go on your record. If it's highschool, it's possible that it will. If junior high, it very likely won't. Even if it does, don't freak out. Plenty of people (myself included) have gone to great colleges with some...spotty school records. If it does end up on your record, see if you can get it expunged (school administrators love that word) Just don't get caught again :) -CMP PS this should probably go in Off Topic. Zaaps1
Now I live in NY and perhaps the system is different from you, but... Zaaps1
It's on the SCHOOL record, but colleges do not see that. So pretty much your principle has a record of your ISSes, but college admissions will never see it. ~It's Super Effective! Sinkhan
Actually for every 3 minutes that your ISS lasts, they save a rabid dog to release on you the moment you get to a college. If you just get a job out of school, the rabid dogs are instead carnivorous zebras. The only way to reduce the number is by solving P=NP, giving a proof for Fermat's Last Theorem that fits within a Twitter post, or upload a vid of you killing the corp beast with nothing but a rubber chicken. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

It'll keep you out of such groups like NHS (National Honors Society) and depending on the reason, could be looked at by very high end colleges. Most colleges won't give a crap though. Honestly, the worst part about it is the exclusion from NHS and other honor awards that semester. And if your not an A student, that doesn't matter anyway. So...What'dyado? ilya
Lol In school suspension is nothing major at all, it would just go on your school record as a little note. Colleges cannot even access this information anyways! When I was a little brat in my junior high school, i got suspended 4 or 5 times, and it has not affected me in any way. Youmu
Being suspended does not go towards your school record, although it might if you get suspended numerous times. I myself have never gotten into any trouble, at school, ever. I'm being honest here, during my 9 years of school I have never been sent to the office. Don't know if it works the same here, but I've had multple suspensions (around 7, maybe) and I got into college with no problems. 1 ISS isn't going to make too much of an impact, it would just be multiple suspensions that would make a difference. H2PM
If they look at the reason, and if it is as stupid as you make it sound, then they will just ignore it most likely and question the school instead of you.
