'He also admitted he is yet to hear the song by his chart rivals.'

That's the X factor winner. Quite shocked he hasn't even heard the song.

Oh he heard it, and he's outRAGEd. (Couldn't resist.)

He said: "They can't be serious! I had no idea what it sounded like. It's dreadful and I hate it. How could anyone enjoy this? Can you imagine the grandmas hearing this over Christmas lunch?

I love how The Sun are slanting it as a personal attack on Joe as hard as they can. Maybe they're trying to hide the fact that The Climb is not his song as he just did a cover.

Gf censor, the [bleep] is the 3 letter word for a man who loves other men starting with f. (Normally wouldn't say, but it is only a link to a news site)

Let me put the word in a less offensive way.

The [bleep] is the British slang for cigarette, though I got a 404 error when I tried to get onto it -.-

Plus, as much as I hate the Sun..

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/2777019/Simon-Cowell-blasts-the-Rage-Against-The-Machine-Christmas-No1-plot.html

Probably has everything you'd need to know in it, apart from what is in Mage's arrticle.

Also, found it, just put "X Factor Star Blasts" into the search function on the Sun's website and it'll be the first result.

""I wouldn't buy it. It's a nought out of ten from me. Simon Cowell wouldn't like it. They wouldn't get through to boot camp on The X Factor - they're just shouting.""

"Joe added: "I will be really disappointed if it doesn't go to No1 after all the effort I've put in to this and winning the show.""

Couple of things I found interesting from that article. It shows what his opinion on music really is. I'd love to hear him after listening to some types of metal.. He's pretty close minded too, regarding what Ryan has quoted, I read it as "I don't like this type of music, so how can anyone else?"

Stuck up piece of [cabbage].. He's not even doing his own song, just a cover of some pop song. As soon as he releases his own material, then he can act stuck up.

Well done RATM! Although I don't particularly care for the song, I'm extremely happy that it stopped the dull production-line pop from being #1. Was funny to hear how stupid most of the people (almost all of them being girls) texting in to give their support to Joe sounded, you could tell that they didn't really have much going on inside their heads  :P

Also, I must add that I forgot how much of a joke Radio 1 is and how painful it is to listen to. The only good thing to have come out of that station is Colin Murray, and that's only because he seems to really know what he's doing when he's on BBC Radio 5Live. On an exceptionally unrelated note; Chelsea got a cheap penalty to draw with West Ham.. Just when I thought we'd get out of the bottom of the table..

RATM sold over 50,000 more copies than Joe, yesterday there was less than 4,000 between the two

Really happy that finally Cowell's stranglehold on the chart has ended for now, just a shame he made so much money from this. Guess you can't have everything!

Bravo Rage, bravo =D>

He has a stake in Sony Records, or something, who Rage are under. Therefore, he made money.

Anyway, it wasn't about him making money or not.

EDIT:

It's a bit of a daft battle really, seeing as both are licensed to sub-labels of Sony Records. Either this is coincidence or Sony are incredibly clever.

Still, fair play. If anything, it shows off the power of the internet - and that we're not all mindless pop-loving drones.

Was on the last page.

It's amazing how many people overlook the fact that RATM is signed to Sony Records. So much for down with the man.

But it wasn't a battle against Sony. Nobody really cared about the money either really (except maybe joe), it was just about not having an X factor #1.

Yes but Simon Cowell doesn't own Sony. It's him we're trying to slap, not Sony. Simon Cowell's record label and RATM's label are entirely different, they're just owned by the same people. Cowell doesn't get any money from what they sell.

just saying. He owns a label that operates under sony, and handles a lot of UK distribution for sony.

Rage are on a different label, which also happens to be under sony. No affiliation with Cowell whatsoever.
