Well i want 99 farming and am 84 right now, i have 99 wc and didnt get a spirt seed from any nests....so is it worth the 55k points from vinesweeper to buy the seed? I have like 3k points right now...

You shouldn't as you get other kinds of seeds from maples then just the spirit ones. You can also put workers on herbs to not have as much of a loss, if you have any at all. I gotten about 2-3 seeds from MTK, i would have more but i changed workers from maples to fish for the best income without depending on nests.

MTK maples is definitely the way to go. If you were to sell the logs and the nests by themselves, the loss would be very low. However, you're more than likely to pull in a few nice tree seeds.

 

I've had my kingdom on 5 maples for about a month or two and I've managed to about 4-5 spirit seeds amongst double that number in magics and yews, and a fair number of other rather good seeds.

 

Calquat seeds seem to be the most difficult to come by for me <_<

vinesweeper is only good for seeds that you are either gonna get a ton of or sell in the end. it is not very efficient for seeds you are going to use yourself in small numbers. although i can get like 20k points and hour so you could try, but id see if you like vinesweeper first as it is not for everyone.

Yea, I'd stick with Manage thy Kingdom as well. I found Vinesweeper to be a very slow and painful way of getting anything accomplished.

I had three spirit seeds by WC 75... did I get very very lucky or did you get very unlucky?

I don't see why you don't just buy a few farming boosters and take advantage of the massive 20k xp they give to get to 83 :rolleyes:

Because a future update could potentially make it relevant to have additional spirit seeds. Also, you'd be without access to the planted tree for two days.

 

Anyway, it's much more sensible to use Miscellania for the seeds. Vinesweeper is too slow.

Well I don't recommend doing MTK on all wood. I'm doing 10 raw fish and 5 maples and getting nests from the maples, so you will most likely get a spirit seed if you do the same =]

You must realize that 55k points will take 2-4 hours. The time a Spirit tree at Brimhaven saves is a lot, but it's not enough to justify giving up 2-4 hours of time or 45k farming xp. No, until you get one from your Kingdom/woodcutting, just use Karamja gloves.

Well i got a spirit tree seed from vinesweeper. the game was kinda interesting and i planted it at brimhaven. I already have 99 wc and dont really do MTk ever. its not like the only use for the tree is for fruit runs anyhow, its decent for slayer too.

I have 80 wc and have 2 spirit seeds and am currently at 58 farming.

 

Got all mine from mtk. It doesn't cost a lot really. I keep mine at 1M and it costs me about 250k per week to keep it topped up at that. With all the herbs that I make into potions and logs or nests to sell it pays for itself and you can make a profit if you make things and sell wisely.

i have just over 30 of them in my bank atm, 2 from nest all the others from a loong time on maples.

You can do 10 workers on Herbs and 5 on Maples to get them, just wait a long time before collecting (a couple weeks at least). Seeds accumulate in fractions, according to Qeltar's study. Keep your favor high and add money if you need to, Just don't collect. Don't forget you can switch to Maples now before collecting as well, so you don't have to start counting from today.

and as for doing fruit runs, using Karamja gloves 3 tele + cart to brimhaven = nearly as fast as spirit tree.

I'd mix it in with the herb runs. After the Catherby herb patch, swing by the fruit tree patch, then run to the dock and charter a boat to Brimhaven.
