Getting around on Ancients

Recommended Posts

Need to know some of the best ways to get to places such as Ardy, Fally, Lumby and so on, when on ancients. Getting to POH is most likely done by tablet I assume, Varrock by the dungeon tele, Fally by maybe explorers ring? What about Ardy, Lumby, Seers Village/Catherby? I don't think anymore really concern me cause I can't think of anymore atm. Thanks.

Well the easiest thing to do would be placing 6 teleport portals in your house to your 6 most used teleport places, and just use house tab for everything. Buying different teleport tabs for every city would be an option too, the only teleport spot that really is unreachable while on ancients is trollheim teleport since you can't make a tab for that one.

Well I do like the sound of that! I never really read much into construction so now I have another use for it other than my alter. I wonder what else I could learn if I actually read a guide. ;) Thank you.

Well every place you ever get to by fairy ring or jewellery - same as normal

Sort out you're poh with the 2 portal rooms.

Then either have lumby varrock fally camelot ardy canafis ad put house in yanille

OR

lumby varrock fally ardy yanille canafis and put ur house in rellekka

The problem for me that always comes up, is, there's no way to get Trollheim tele when on ancients; no tab and no portal, and since I do herb runs all the time I need to have it.

The only solution I've come up with is, slayer ring to rellekka slayer cave (bring climbing boots) and take that narrow path into the troll stronghold, go up and down a few stairs and you're at the herb patch; but as you can imagine it's very inconvenient.

Couldn't use bind the patch to an Ammy of Nature? Sure you waste the possibility of using it on a different patch but the run from Trollheim to the patch is inconvenient as it is.

Nature ammy can only teleport you to diseased patches, I'm afraid.

Varrock by the dungeon tele

What is this Varrock dungeon teleport of which you speak? I can't figure it out. :(

He means the Edgeville Dungeon tele, which is somewhat close to varrock (Sort of like a games necklace tele for Taverly).

use fairy rings, they are all placed in convenient places all over the place.

Except for anywhere around Falador....

But he's right. If you have Slayer Ring, Slayer Cave is the closest to a Ring. Otherwise, use the Kandarian Monastary from the Ardy cape.

Also, when it comes to spirit trees you lose out on the MA tele. But the Ardy cape puts you reasonably close a tree, or use a Glider to the GS by duel/glory to Al Kharid or Fairy to Feldip.

I'm drawing a blank here, what teleport or teleport device puts you inside the Edgeville dungeon? Or are you speaking of the Edgeville option on an Amulet of Glory? Maybe the Fairy Ring to Edgeville or the Spirit Tree teleport to the GE?

Sorry to be so dense.

It's the level 54 teleport on the ancients spellbook.

Why wouldn't you just use a ring of duelling to teleport to MA?

Anyway, a skills necklace teleports you right to the Mining Guild, so Falador's not an issue.

Stick to modern magics it's just the most convenient thing to do. Every time you switch to ancients you will get the urge to go GWD. And then you will need to enchant something real quick. I swear.

Ahah. I forgot about Duel to MA. MA is new to me, and I don't use duels or skills all that often... :/ I also generally stick to unlimited teleports too....

Along with the Edgeville tele, you can use it to get to Ardougne pretty quick by using the wilderness lever twice. (Be aware that you'll risk being attacked by revs for a few seconds)

Duelling ring to MA is extremely useful. In fact the Duelling Ring in general is one of the best items in the game. Look at where it can take you:

Short run to Oo'glog (MA)

If you utilize the Spirit Tree, you get an extremely quick teleport to the Grand Exchange, Ardy (Khazard Battlefield, fairly close), Gnome Stronghold, and a few other places.

If you utilize the Gnome Glider, you can get to the Digsite (although Ancients has a tele there), Ape Atoll, White Wolf Mountain, and other places.

If you utilize the Balloon Network (CW tele), you can go to the Sawmill, Crafting Guild/Falador, Grand Tree, Taverly, and other places quickly.

If you utilize FoG tele, you got yourself a quick way to access the Wilderness. Couple this with the various Ancient teleports in the Wilderness and you practically own the place.

Another extremely useful item is the Ring of Slaying.

If your house is in Polly, it acts as a house teleport that costs ~30gp per tele (compared with the ~800gp-1k of a tablet). It also takes you to the Carpet network quickly, giving you access to places such as Sophanem, and leaves you on Sumona's doorstep.

Relleka Slayer Caves is the closest teleport to a Fairy Ring, letting you access tons of teleports, many of which are useful.

In essence, you really want to utilize 3 things: Teletabs, Transportation Networks (eg, Fairy Rings, Spirit Trees, etc.), and Jewelry.

PS-Though not directly related to teleportation on Ancients, remember that you don't have to go back to Azzanadra's Pyramid to switch back to the Normal Spellbook. If you've done Lunar Diplomacy, you can pray at the Lunar Altar twice.

The pharaoh's sceptre solves that.

Wow. I'm feeling stupid today.

I was aware of the Camulet which brings you nearby, but for some reason the Sceptre completely blanked from my mind.

I know the Sceptre teleports you to the top of the Pyramid, but idk where the Camulet teleports you to. But i do know that the Astral Tabs from GOP teleport you right next to the altar. Great for very fast changing of the spell books to normal/lunar magic from one of the other.
