I don't know about any of you guys, but lately i've been experiencing lag in some of our war worlds that we have been warring in. And its odd cause we've been using them for a good year now. Now i'm not sure why, but maybe its cause a lot more clans war there now and the ping has spiked up a bit.

 

My most recent experience was in our ck war yesterday, in the first match right when both clans are about to rush each other there was a 5 second lag for me. At first i thought it was just me, then i see a huge spam from both clans 'Laaaagg'. It was funny and at the same time annoying. Then later on in the war we get 2 dc's.

 

I was thinking perhaps we can compile a 'No War' world listing. Where we know which worlds are plain laggy from everyone's experiences.

 

After a scan thru pings/players using worlds, i've found these worlds that might be less laggy (not tested)...

7, 30, 33, 34, 35, 38 (this has least ping, but ls is off)

There are so many variables at play that you can't simply blacklist specific worlds. Did you consider the number of people on the world, the location of the world's servers, the location of your own members or any other factors?

True, no just that. Lag can be caused by your own connection speed. And if your dling porn or not. But if i was to consider that, you wouldn't quite have the most definite answer would you?

 

In terms of location, most rs players reside in the States, Canada or Britain. I would say a server in the States would be an okay location for people in Canada/Britain not to experience lag.

I've been noticing more server lagg just in general. Haven't noticed world by world.

What war world were you using? We almost always use 118.

Yup, and the great thing about server lag is it happens to everyone so it's kinda fair i suppose. IF you're dcing/lagging it's prolly adds / your internet.

 

Some ads you can right click and lower the detail to help prevent some lag, and you can stop looping on some ads too.

Yes, this has been a huge problem for me as of late. I recently even reformatted and cleaned out my computer hoping it would help, but it hasn't. I lag terribly mainly in pkri's. When i'm tanking and start dragging clans a loading please wait notice comes up at the top of my screen and it delays a few seconds until the screen loads again and by that time im already at 0 hp. Also, during CR's pkri vs TMC the other day, everytime we approached GDZ, i would lag horribly and my screen wouldn't load until up to 10 seconds later, and once it just completely froze and i had to restart the rs server. It seems like the problem has been getting a lot worse lately.

Only French/German worlds lag me :)

Yes, now that you mention it. For Firefox users, you may consider getting AdBlock a free extension that is extremely useful in blocking ads on pretty much any site.

In addition to w32, i find w21 is just as bad.

Have only had 1 dc in my life but that was like a year ago. So no I have not.

Downfall uses 102 which is pro. Most U.S worlds are fine though

pretty sure blocking ads is against the rules but okay

I only have serious problems in some of the servers around Australia or foreign worlds. Normally either all the worlds are about the same for me though for awhile there it was because I hadn't defragmented my computer. :oops:

But seriously, I don't lag unless its one of those server lags.

I always thought the lag was because of my computer or something, but I figured it wasn't when other people said they were lagging at the same time. Unfortunately I don't remember what world I was on. Also I usually don't dc during wars when I'm using the internet at home.

HELL YA AND IT'S SO ANNOYING. It's like the LAST thing you want to happen in a war. Tbh, I'd rather lose a war than DC in the middle of it, especially when you are tanking. It gets really annoying and it stresses me a lot. This has been a really HUGE problem in the clan world.....I'm sure no one would wanna DC/LAG in a middle of a war.

world 61 and world 74 are really laggy worlds....I also warred KO UNIT with Team KP and I nearly DCED. I think it was world 29?

War vs HP. World 61. I couldn't see anyone half the time, it was lolwtf moment. Don't use it!

Can't say I've ever really lagged or dc'ed during a war. It happened once or twice, but not enough for me to remember it.
