It's not that I go beserk and start throwing chairs when I hear a Greenday song because I hear 'mainstream' punk. And U2 is okay, I guess. By far not my fav. band though. I actually think it's an improvement to go from three minute punk songs that sound the same after a couple of albums to go to something that has 'somekind' of 'deeper' meaning.
