I remember reading something about a quarry in Siberia called the Mir Mine. When helicopters fly over it, they can easily get pulled in by the downdraft. Sounds very scary. I've heard about the Mir Mine that someone mentioned. Pretty sure they put restrictions on aircraft passing over it or something like that. Dunno how it works exactly but it's a lot bigger than the sink hole in Guatemala. June 3, 201016 yr Author I just read the thing about experts in the title. How does one become an expert on giant sinkholes.... It's probably not Sinkhole experts, but most likely Geographical experts etc.
