Dungeoneering Rants.

So, I hate randomly dying in an agility obstacle room, because the game arbitrarily decides that I fail walking past this blade trap (spinning blade comes out of the wall when I walk past it) twice in a row. No apparent reason. Die. I'm solo'ing, gatestone portal, come back, OMG I make it by doing the same thing. yeah, arbitrarily decides I need to die -.-

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Generia, not everyone dgs with those leecher noobs. Frankly I hate them as well, but ever since I joined the Dragoons I just realized how much charm 5:5 with five actual fighters is.

I understand why people hate leecher dungeons. Solution? Form/join a perm team, practice rushing larges (~20-30 min w/ rush), and you SHOULD get quite a decent xp.

Sure, it's only like 20k-ish xp per large compared to the 40k or so with leecher strategy, but it's much much better because you have five helpers opposed of only two.

How long do duo 5:5 larges take anyway? An hour?

EDIT: Instead of lvl 3's, invite pures instead. Much much MUCH better for this strategy

In my eyes, Dungeoneering has never been a success. How many people here actually train it because they like it? A minority. Sadly, most people train it because they want to get more in-game experience; when it comes to Dungeoneering, it's hardly about the fun. No one likes to be in a dungeon where you're faced with constant annoyances. Leechers, Mercenary Leaders, stupid Dungeoneerers and the oveall negative attitude you tend to receive from your party turns me away from the skill, and it probably frustrates others as well.

Keep hanging about in world 61 and you'll rot. Sure, you stay there because of friends and the guild, but don't you sometimes get the feel it's stale now? What I'm getting out of that place, it feels like a tomb. Go visit other worlds, Genie.

Try to approach the skill with a different mindset. Some of us like the Hell-bent atmosphere. I know for a fact I thrive in chaotic places like world 7. Places like it and 117 keep me from being bored. It's a little like how the guild once was, at least to me, before the constant stacking and habitual breaking. Gods I miss those days.

Then again, Genie is Genie. You're not like me. It's one of the reasons why I didn't ask to take you with me to world 1 when the skill started up. Well, most of the old clan wouldn't have fit either, the stress would've knocked them back into world 61. I felt the lot of you had gotten used to easy games. Can you imagine Coolster throwing a raging tantrum all the time because of her teammates?

If you want a change of pace, pm me in-game sometime.

Adding on to what Bio Ice said, I for one also like the fact that the randoms in w7 are so chaotic. Makes dg a lot more interesting.

Really as long as you don't ragequit, have good friends to dg with, and a good internet connection (I CANNOT stress this enough), you should have a great time dging.

Dg for me is another one of those casual activities that I enjoy a lot. Actually pretty much everything in f2p for me is (training skills with others, FOG, GOP, PvP).

Unrelated to the ongoing conversation....but just have to rant.

-People who take all the coins (common)

To make it worse, people also take all the keys, all the coins, busy smithing and runecrafting while the next door is locked by a key that they held. Which is right next to the anvils.

What really gets me is that they will go far as picking up coins mid battle, just annoys the hell out of me. I had to sell my fish to get coins for a hammer as after the first room there wasn't any serious loot and we need to fix a door to continue because the guy who took everything was already busy doing unimportant things.

I like dungeoneering, I like levelling it up right now because at my low level it feels quick and rewarding. It is nice to guide someone who isn't as adept at the game in general through the game. I like that there is constant change of pace. I like the skill, but it will be better if people just be a little considerate and maybe leave a pile or two coins behind for someone else to take and use some team work, then it is a nice skiill/mini-game.

Templar Guardians

When are trying to lend something, the word to use is borrow. Not barrows, which is a mini-game.

So apparently, I am supposed to solo a level 204 merc leader, whilst being attacked by multiple 114s in t11 equipment, whilst having little armour myself. lolwut

Hmm I had an adept bloodrager following me, that might have something to do with it. But the thing attacks so slow and inaccurately, it hardly counts...

This is why I quit dg at 37 without getting any rewards. I soloed 1-37 and I simply did not hear any stories about people having a good time in a team. I would never join a team because I like to take it slow. I like getting all the resources.

If it isn't already obvious by mai l33t skilz, I'm a semiskiller as well.

I enjoy a lot of dungeons too. o.O Some teams suck, yes, but a lot are great.

Although -rant- I refuse to use 148 again after yesterday. I wasted about two hours total on five dungeons which we didn't complete because:

- Someone died, ragequit, followed by everyone else.

- Same as above, but we got an emote room after said person died and quit.

- Keyer had to leave twenty minutes in, and we were going to continue since he said he'd be back, but someone quit.

The others were just the dying/quitting thing. I also had someone who mined every rock she saw and made armour for everyone, which I wouldn't mind so much if we were doing nothing, but we spent like ten minutes waiting for her to come and do an emote room. <_< Also every dungeon has been taking a minimum of an hour, so bleh.

It's just that most people project their bad team stories, rather than the good ones.

In this case, remembering one's bad experiences in Dungeoneering is simply easier.

And I know, that at least I would find reading a story about a perfect dungeon with perfect room locations, drops, party members etc.

This thread is called "Dungeoneering rants." Of course there would be tons of people projecting bad team stories.

It's also much more natural for people to remember bad memories, because they tend to engrave a stronger emotional feeling.

YOU SIR ARE [bleep]ING DUMB.

I HATE ORANGES SO EVERYONE MUST HATE ORANGES OMFG@

Just because you've had bad teams and find some things annoying because generally, you have no skill, doesn't mean everyone is like this.

i enjoy kicking people under 100

but i hate when 110+ people are [developmentally delayed]....

I find that rather mean to be honest... really it's the attitude and knowledge that makes a person good at dg, not skill level itself.

Though I understand why you guys may want 3 binds only...

I'm not talking about just this thread. Even in the clan that I'm in it's just bad dg story after another about skillers ruining life and such. I almost never hear a story how someone went into a team where everyone was cooperative and everyone had a good time.

More often than not, teams are good actually. They are for me (and I know a lot of other people anyway). I don't bother saying anything in clan chats if the team was good, I just thank them and move on to another floor, but if a team frustrates me I have to vent so I say things in the cc. I imagine others do the same. D:

Play with friends, or form a permanent team (people in your cc or friends are very good for this). You will have a MUCH better time dging with people you trust.

agree friends or dg aquantances (people u dged with b4) are best to team with...my fastest floors and more enjoyable are with people i know are pro dgers

people do talk about thier good floors too

people talk about the floors were everyone proed through and less than 25 mins. some people are more agressive in getting dg friends i only added a few people but they are some that are like at end of every good dg ask everyone to add :).
