What are your goals?

Has anyone thought about this? I love to achieve goals for a particular reason and that is because it gives me incentive to do more.

As a college student, my goals are to graduate and get a degree in culinary arts. Also, my other particular goal is to save enough

$$ to get a LASIK surgery (after becoming broke from buying a car which was also my goal.)

So, what are yours?

Long term goals:

- Break into the video game industry, hopefully landing a job as a game designer sometime.

- Travel the world, and live somewhere abroad for a while. I've always wanted to leave America and see what the world's like; hopefully I'll get a chance during college :D

- Own an Aston Martin o.o

Shorter but still long term goals:

- Graduate with a Mechanical Engineering degree without being completely swamped with loans after leaving college.

- Meet a member from one of my favorite bands in person.

- Become moderately decent at jazz piano!

Really short term goals:

- Finish learning Butterflies and Hurricanes by Muse on the piano.

- Finish Majora's Mask in less than 10 hours.

- Find a job!

- Have fun but still keep good grades during my senior year of high school

- Help my robotics team make it to the world championships again this year :D

Short term goals:

Finish fake scale mail armor (next month or so)

Save up for a bass guitar ($300 or so? next year or so)

Long term:

Don't randomly die for some stupid reason

Go to college and graduate

I'm not particularly awesome, nor goal-oriented.

Short term (doing atm):

Reading 2 courses in "adult school" and finishing them.

Getting a job (applied for several, but holidays atm, so won't be called for interview until august).

Play some more golf (cheap course close to me).

Long term:

Oh my... What to state here, my whole life???

Getting into Uni within IT and reading atleast 3 years in networking.

Move abroad, i'm still pondering if i should learn German seriously or not. I would love the States, but my education (if uni) would be too little+Massive unemployment in US already. Only thing i do know, is that i won't live in Sweden by 30. I don't like my countries politics (you say - vote differently! But the "red/blue" here is more or less the same... No one want's to take care of crime, social, immigration etc issues except for one non-Government party).

I would like to own a Ferrari, altho we all know oil is draining.

I would also, probably, like to be a father in a few years time. All i know is, i don't won't to be an old father.

I want to visit a few different places in Italy.

Short Term:

Pass Algebra 2 Accelerated Honors (supposedly it's the hardest class at this private school I'm going to and is basically Alg2 and PreCalc in one year)

Join the robotics team and learn a little bit about Engineering

Long Term:

Graduate from a good college with an Engineering degree of some sort

Get a good job

Get rich

Travel the world and retire at 50

Hopefully the bitter reality of the world doesn't set in.

My shcool had that Algebra 2/Trig (Precalculus) class. It was ridiculous, first time I got a D in school :P

And would that happen to be a USFIRST Robotics team? If so, that's awesome, you're going to love it

Get 99 strength

Yo, big it up. Respect. I was going for 99 attack myself, but I quit around my 13th birthday.

Get into med, obtain MBBS and then get a masters in Ninja Studies . I'll finally be able to say : "Trust me, I'm a doctor", and then I'll start blowing [cabbage] up.

I used to think having goals was stupid and pointless. I mean, all I would do is set unrealistic goals that would be bring me to the brink of death even before completion. Well, it turns out I've reached those goals after one semester of university - I will start doing actual research (i.e. publishing articles, pushing the boundaries of science) in my very first year of undergrad. Another unthinkable I conquered : downing 4 irish car bombs within 10 minutes (it was around that long) and not puking all over the partygoers (the highscore was held by a 300 pound man who didn't after three). And finally, the cherry on top; I "got" my friends' ex-girlfriend who I'd been oggling for the past two years and I'm still best friends with the guy. Back in the day we could have cut "the" tension with a butter knife.

So all in all I've completed all the goals I had set for the foreseeable future (actually I failed to "get" a girl in my biology class last semester but I can only restart my campaign when uni starts again so it doesn't count). I now have a solid four years to throw my life away by drinking copiously and playing too many video games... I'm not sure if it's the alcohol talking but I feel like I have a largely untapped potential pond deep within me that makes me awesome at everything I put the hours into, which is probably definitely why I accomplish so much.

Warning: the previous post was very long and boring and should not have been read by anyone who respects him or herself even a teency bit.

I found Alg2/Trig to be really easy. Pre-Calc I got my first B in though... Somehow I got an A on the exam, he must have curved it A LOT.

I guess another goal would be to not die with zero hour jazz band, then AP Calc, then AP Bio in the morning and lots of engineering (and a little German) in the afternoon.

I got a D in my pre-calc class. 1 point higher on the final and I would have gotten a C, but oh well. It really wasn't that hard though, if I had really tried I could have gotten a B.

Ok one goal that I'm gonna set myself is to play Colts one rugby next year, I didn't play this year, but next year will be my last chance to crack it. Next year I'm gonna be flatting with two good rugby players, on of whom is in his last year of studying to become a person trainer, so he's gonna train me. Kinda lame goal, but I haven't taken rugby seriously for years, and I really should be utilizing some of my potential.
