D Hatchet > Rune Hatchet?

Featured Replies

With 99 Wcing it seems like I'm just as quick cutting logs with the Rune Hatchet as I am with the D Hatchet? :/

Is the D Hatchet still faster? Or did I waste my money?):

1. "My ear's in a cup, I guess that doesn't count..."

2. "So heyyy, that's a pretty reasonable reaction huh?"

3. "So you up for NAFTA?"

4. "That went exactly how I wanted it to."

Yes, the D hatchet is faster then Rune hatchet.

Another pointless thread in the General Discussion for you today that should have been posted in Help & Advice.

It's about 5-10% faster.

No, the dragon hatchet is no better than the rune hatchet, despite requiring a higher woodcutting level to wield and costing about 100 times as much. It was simply created by Jagex to mess with the heads of gullible woodcutters. Nice catch, those nasty brits couldn't fool you.

This is getting off-topic, and very childish. If you don't have an answer, do not respond. This isn't the RSOF, so act maturely, please.

OT: I'm pretty sure the Dragon Hatchet's still about 10-15% increase from the Rune Hatchet.

Funny story that...when the dragon hatchet first came out, that's exactly how it was. Although I can't remember if the req was 41 or 61 at the time.

But they've since improved it and the dragon hatchet is better. Although, 10% isn't immediately noticeable, and over a short period of observation, the rune wc axe could do better simply due to luck mechanics.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

No, this isn't the RSOF. However it is beginning to turn into the RSOF because idiotic questions like these are getting attention they don't deserve. This is a question that could easily be answered through either common sense or 12 seconds of research.

Just to make you happy: Yes. The dragon hatchet IS better than rune, bam.

The Dragon Hatchet does have a faster woodcutting rate than a rune hatchet. For those who think they are the same, you aren't entirely wrong. When the dragon hatchet was first released it was exactly the same as the rune hatchet. Jagex later changed it to be a bit better.

You'll find that the difference is negligible for low level logs since you cut them so fast anyway.

Normal, oak, and achey logs chop at the same rate with a rune hatchet, at least at 99 woodcutting, if I recall correctly. Everything willow and up is significantly faster with dragon.

I do believe there is an article in the KB showing the percentage increase in efficiency, in which it was shown that on normal logs it is barely better than rune, but becomes progressively better as the level of logs is higher. I may be remembering something else though. But the point is, yes, it's better.

And I'm pretty sure that when it first came out it just wasn't significantly better, it wasn't the same.

They were exactly the same when it first came out. Don't know why.

As with all high level items, if you dont think its gonna crash, theres no real reason not to use the higher level item.

I mean, you can sell it later.

O.O

you should be chopping ivy (no logs) or using an adze at teaks (no rune/dragon hatchet). woodcutting anything else is a waste of time. But dragon/adze has been stated by jagex to be 15% better. (although they have stated that corp has no damage reduction...)

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

+1

Nuff said.
