What do u think is the best game/system that was made

Featured Replies

I think that the PC was the best game that was made. I think that RS2 and Counter Strike is the game. What game/system do u like

PC wasnt built to be a "system" for games really. It is a personal computer to be used for other stuff besides games, as its original intention.

I think Nintendo was the best ever. It set the stage for gaming stations made today. It had all those classic games that are amazing. Only because it set the stage really, is why it is the greatest.

Too bad Microsoft and Sony swept by them in technology :(

The PC is not a gaming system. A gaming system is a system designed to do exclusively that: play games. By rights, the PS2/Xbox (and maybe even PSX/PS1) don't count, as they played DVDs/CDs. But that's just getting far too technical.

The best system depends on what you're favourite type of games are. A high-end PC for the brand new, blow-you-away First Person Shooters and Real Time Strategies. A low-end PC (or even a DOS machine) for those old classics like Total Annialation and the original GTA. PS2 if you want a bit of everything, even though it's Jack of All Trades (Master of None). The Xbox is similar to a high-end PC, except for the choice of games. If you can afford it, I'd reccommend getting one, though it's less of a priority. Gamecube if you are interesting in pure entertainment and fun, along with some of the more quirky titles, which if you allow yourself to play them, can suck you in.

And of course, copies of the old consoles (or, at the very least, emulators), because how can you know where you're going if you don't know where you came from.

PSP, I believe, is hardly worth the bother. Everything that a PS2 has, except it comes with some extremely fragile moving parts and a couple of rubbish ports of old games. The DS is certainly looking up at the moment, despite it's rocky start (how can you not love the idea of hitting some random Japanese person up the bum with a red shell and winning?). The GameBoy and GBA are always essential, especially as you can get a GBA for as little as ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20 now.

Of the next generation, in my opinion, the PS3 will be a waste of space. Once again, SONY will intend to please everyone, and will instead please no one. I think a large number of PS2 owners will choose XBOX360 instead of PS2. The 360 certainly has some advantages, although there are many kinks that need to be worked out (such as true backwards compatability, and Mircosoft really need to rethink their Xbox Live strategy, especially as Nintendo Online is free, and a lot safer). I do, however, intend to buy one once they come down in price enough to make in worth my while, which will probably be around 18 months - 2 years away.

The Revolution, I am however, very exited about. The potential hidden in the controller took me a good few months to fully realise, indeed I still do not think I have fully grasped the concept. It is hard to imagine that, barely three years ago, I and my friend were fantasising about full body control, where every movement you do in the real world is performed in game. It seems Nintendo are one step closer to realising that. However, I do not intend to buy it at launch, and will probably wait a while, until hopefully there are some games that fully realise the potential my imagination is running around with.

And now I'm tied, so I'm not gonna bother talking about the games.

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

Super Nintendo 8)

I LOVE MARIO!!

Super Nintendo, so many good games for that thing.

Overall, the Super NES. Best games ever made are on that system, in my opinion.

I wish Sega had not jumped the shark and released the Dreamcast before the PS2 came out. If they had waited that year, they could still be competing in the console race (the Dreamcast has the same capabilities as an X-Box with the graphics of a PS2...even bonus features like memory cards with LCD screens that you could see personal information on.).

So SNES overall, and Dreamcast for best in features. I mean, the Dreamcast is the only current gen console that comes with a light gun! All of its games got ported to PS2...:(.

My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley

Gameboy, could play on one for hours when i first got pokemon about 6 years ago first day i baught it i must have played on it for at least 10 hours straight, no food, no drink. I had to stop playing when all the batterys ran out

The PC is a gaming system! Because think about it? What else can you do other than play games? You can waste time not playing games, which is in fact a waste of time.

And plus Xbox isn't made just for gaming. Its for movies and music too...

But obviously PC games are the best, because the library of PC games are so much bigger and more diverse than any other system. I can boot up games from like 1992, and if I need anything (some games such as Doom have come out with updated, XP friendly versions) it takes like 2 mins to download. Not to mention that games have been in the online business for so much longer, and is therefore more focused than on consoles.

And there's better controls, better graphics, better games, more diverse games, customization, and a heap of useless other things you can do on PC (useless as compared to gaming).

Best games. Forget about it. There's too many. That's why it's so hard to compare them, they are so much more diverse than other mediums.

n64 and pso were a big innovation, i think they also had some great games...goldeneye ftw!

N64! Those good ole days of playing my brothers in Diddy-Kong Racing, Mario Kart, and Banjo Kazooie!

SNES - Duckhunt owned.

super nintendo, easily.

Not to mention it can take a beating and still work perfectly. I bought mine back in the early 90s....and its still working flawlessly. My 64 is showing signs of dying and that was bought some 4-5 years later.
