bedman
well today i did firemaking, and i decided yew logs cut too slowly to burn so whats the next best thing? mahogany! ureka, literally i had gotten 18 nests in 2-3 hours. and 3 firemaking lvls. i missed a few nests, sadly. i found like 4 rings and 8 apple 2 banana 1 curry 1 papaya 1 orange seed all in this time while cutting. not bad really. Yeah, i've heard about the high drop rate of nests from those trees. But this method is mainly for f2p'ers. Members have got some nicer options: 1) mahagony => lots of nests 2) pyring logs, or something like that A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! bedman
is it just me, or all p2p worlds general stores have no willow logs No, that could be very true. I am f2p and only have tested this world on f2p worlds. But if you take for instance world 50 (dutch world, very crowded) you will always have a full shop. Except maybe just after an update. I might add this to the guide A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!

Lord_Muijs
Nice guide. Too bad firemaking is pointless to raise past lvl 85 :?firemaking is quite pointless to raise anyway. but who cares about that? the pyromaniac inside me will be really happy when i reach 99 firemaking. (so it'll take a looooong time before he finally gets really happy) this method is not healthy for our combat lvl 100+ friends, though, just imagine. army of noobs gets off tutorial island. army of noobs walk past poor guy training firemaking army of noobs see "3-digit combat lvl" army of noobs: CHAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AzNbLuE
85? I thought the last new purpose of firemaking was at 80, magic pyre logs. In any case, this seems like a really good method for people who actually want to raise their firemaking. For me it's more of cutting willows for XP, and instead of selling them for pointless sums of cash I'd rather just burn them for a couple of levels added on to the skill total. stormveritas
I'm admittedly too lazy to read through the whole thread, so bear with me, but I think it would be faster to put the tinderbox LAST in your inventory. Doesn't the inventory automatically resort, taking the FIRST log from the inventory, and leaving the first spot open? So if you clicked on the last log, the second hole from the right (which would be right next to your tinder) would always be filled with a log. Not that it matters, really; there is a longer delay in FM for the actual lighting process, so you can't just rapid-click like we all do for fletching. Nicely written guide.
