Skeptical
In Canada some cosmetic surgery is free: my brother has scar from a car accident, and he can have it removed at any point in the next 10 years. Ambulance ride? Nothing.Stitches? Nothing. So guess what? Our van is wrecked, but in a few minutes, we're in an ambulance, and twenty minutes later my little bro is stitched up. Cost us $0. Zierro
Was this directed at him or me? Though I fully agree with your latest post. No, you understand how statistics work. That was mainly directed at Mage (with his tendencies to belittle conservatives at every opportunity), but it also applies to anyone who does that. The funniest thing is when you make a criticism about their inferences of the statistics and their reply is, "Oh, so now you're just ignoring the facts? There's no point in debating with you then." Here's an example: "Billy goes to school on Monday with a red shirt. Nobody picks on him. Billy goes to school on Tuesday with a blue shirt. Somebody picks on him. This suggests that people are more likely to pick on people who wear blue shirts." No... the color of the shirt isn't the only variable to take into account. Ah, good point. There's the catch. Also, I've heard the drug prices are ridiculously high in USA, anyone Americans feel like giving some input to that? I was looking at Paxil prices online a couple weeks ago on I think American sites. And still, I don't think gun crimes are factored into life expectancy in this case. Let's uh, not push the topic in that direction. And that's not the only reason for a lower life expectancy.
