Alg Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Comparing preorders for games with a months' difference in the release is probably safer than comparing sales figures between a game that sold ~7 million copies across three systems and five years to one that sold 6 million copies on one system in three years. :razz: The Gears franchise is bigger because it's more or less the main 360 exclusive. And a quick look at the Wiki reveals that it sold 3 million copies in its first week, 1 million more than Gears 2. Who cares if it's across more platforms or not. You can say Gears is bigger on 360 than The Elder Scrolls is on 360, but not in total. Oblivion sold more overall. Those 2 extra years it's been out hardly affect the total amount of sales.Again, I'm talking pure numbers here. Not about reasons behind those numbers, because most of them they are irrelevant. Instead of your weapon just slashing back and forth, it will actually recoil off of armor and catch on brain matter. Unless it's the entire map (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:TamrielMap.jpg), where it could probably pass for the eastern continent... :-k Plus, you have dragons returning and a lot of focus on the northern province, so maybe.
