Enjoying the journey isn't necessary, but isn't that the whole point of the game and most games in general, having fun? While it can sometimes be necessary to grind things you don't like to get something that will let you enjoy something else later, such as bursting lobs/camping wfs to get 88 summoning for a uni for TDs, grinding at a skill/quest that you dont like just for the cape, which does little to nothing, seems impractical if the overall goal is to have fun.
