vandennn
just wondering how many people stay awake for hours on end through the night playing runescape?? also wondering what the longest amount of time may have been? i have heard the body can stay awake for roughly 72 hours unaffected by any drugs or stimulants before it essentially slips into a coma.. any body actually tried it?? :ohnoes: i have heard accounts of drug addicts who have stayed awake for upto 2 weeks at a time but that clearly isnt natural. comments?

I_am_Not
Have stayed up 50 ish hours on my own willpower, not scaping however.Worst I've done is around 3 days on 5 hours of sleep. I can't see anyone staying awake for 2 weeks, however I don't think you'd slip in to a coma after 72 hours. If you quote me please be sure to note that I'm extremely mad. Trey
I've done plenty of 10 hour days but I don't think I could ever do more than a few hours in one sitting. I think 14 hours is the most I've ever played in one day.

3rkid
Cocaine is a helluva drug. I think the longest I've stay up for was 50 hours. Achieved my two day goal and had the best sleep in my life. _Douglas
I've personally been awake for more than 72 hours straight, non-drugged. And on runescape too. My insomnia got pretty bad a few years ago. Not sure if that counts. lol Proud Gladiator
Myu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphasic_sleep The uberman schedule is hard to get in to, and if you miss a naptime by 30 minutes, oyu'll be tired for a week or more. But if you just take a 20 minute siesta in the middle of the day, you can stay up much longer.(go figure)

Quyneax
I'm fairly sure there have been test where people stayed up for over a week, so that coma stuff sounds a little unrealistic to me. Ezkaton
I swear the actual figure is 10 days not 72 hours. Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D

Aneron
the world record is 11 days, but I don't think you'd be scaping at optimal efficiency
Hajutze
the world record is 11 days, but I don't think you'd be scaping at optimal efficiencyFrom personal experience - near the 3rd day you start to play/move/talk literally like a robot. It's fairly possible that you'll scape even better then usual (thank god that my sister just pushed me to the bed ... I couldn't get up and eventually I gave up ...) Krampell
I've stayed up for whole nights before.Do it when either I find something interesting to do, like a new video game or a sweet rs update.Other times I would stay up whole nights would be when I've been at relatives until late where I wouldn't have had time to sit by the computer.Or like at new years when everyone would stay up past 12:00pm.
