vettro
I'm getting the gloves this afternoon. Do people know how they work yet? It is like barrows and they only degrade during combat? Or do they start degrading when I equip them? How should I best utilize these gloves? Are the charges reduced by time or by xp? And anything else I should know? Thanks. Hegelstad
They work like barrow gloves but they degrade after how much exp you get, the higher the level the more exp you can get with them. They are easy to get so once they run empty just get another pair. They work with non-combat magic as well FYI. Goldenjkered
Not sure how they degrade, whether it's whenever you have them equipped or just in combat I don't know. I do know that they give a maximum of 500k bonus xp before running out of charge. It's up to you how you want to use them, Hunter Kits and Stringing Jewellery spells along with other non combat magic work with the gloves. Sir_Squab
Um, they degrade during combat. Or, um, high alching - non combat magic also uses the gloves charges. As for how it degrades, um, everyone I've heard says it's based on exp, but that exp is dependent on your level. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. vettro
So if I can't get another pair and it works by xp, not time, does it really matter if I choose to train slowly or quickly? Also, does this stack with SC?
essiw
I thought it works on time with an xp cap based on your level. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Sy_Accursed
The only thing tht degrades the gloves is xp.They all have remaining charge removed at the start of may. Aside from tht it only degrades as u get xp and its subject to your lvl. I'm not sure iyts 100% true but apprently its roughly lvl*10k for how much xp u get.eg 86 attack means u get 860k xp Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
vettro
So in theory, it wouldn't matter if I used knives or chins? I would just stop once I had reached a certain amount of xp?
PoorLepRecon
The gloves have a set amount of experience to give and it depends on the level of the skill you are training. They do not degrade over time, you have until May 10th to use your gloves how you see fit. On May 10th the gloves lose all remaining charge. You can check how much charge is remaining by right clicking the gloves and choosing check charge. You cannot get another pair of gloves after you have used up your current pair. They do not degrade over time AT ALL.Yes the Bts said this, but clearly it got changed as the gloves DO NOT in ANY way dgrade based on TIME. ONLY XP GAINED degrades the gloves. So to vettro no you can do wtf u like to gain xp they will last for the same amount of xp anyway you do it. essiw
from this answer in the FAQ it seems like it does indeed not work on time at all, only on xp: What does the power remaining mean with the gloves? XP bonus? Mod Moltare: The paws have charges of bonus. As you gain experience this charge is reduced; that is what you are seeing when you are told the remaining power. Just like Sacred Clay armour from Stealing Creation. for the people asking how much XP or saying that it is the same for everyone: How is the rate of XP worked out for different level players? Mod Mark: We have a series of statistics that relate to a players maximum xp gain from standard training when at specific levels for each skill. Its based on that. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Thanks! Dazzuh
It is not time based at all, i've used them for more than 12 hours at Aviansies, it's done by EXP. So in answer to your question no it doesn't matter how fast your training it, just that you use them by May. Currently not active on RuneScape. Morder
From what i have been reading on other fourms, 1% of the charges are used per 100*your level. Meaning, if your skill level is 90, you will be getting 9000 exp per 1% charge. So your will recieve 900k xp until no charges remain. (9100 xp at 91, 9200 xp at 92, etc.)

Though the constitution issue complicates matters. As all but non-combat mage gets constitution xp as well ,so the charge is worked out by some combination of wat ur trianing and constitution. Like I'm getting around 10k xp per 1% working on attack with 86 attack and 89 constitution. As your skill levels up, so does the exp you recieve. Also, I think that the constitution exp is seperated from the exp for the skill your using. Like it has it's own exp table, its not taking off the exp for the skill. If that makes sense :P
Sy_Accursed
it does effect it some how because both cons and the comb stat get double xp; and none of these tidy equations ppl trianing non-cmb magic worked out quite fit right. DragonSam
If you use the dwarf cannon while you have the Hati paws on, and you're also running around melee attacking with a whip on shared xp, will the Hati paws double xp effect then apply to the dwarf cannon Ranged xp, and the shared xp going to Attack, Strength and Defence all at the same time?
