what will happen to chaos tunnels after the wildy update?

Featured Replies

the free trade/wildy update is coming in like 2 days, what will happen to the chaos tunnels?

green dragons are my only method of making money.

are there any better ways of making money, my stats are in the sig?

If you don't mind taking the risk then chaos tunnels would still be a viable option. However, I have a feeling that there we be a lot of pkers camping the entrance when wildly returns. You could try Blue Dragons, there are a number of places you can do them, Taverly dungeon or the Ogre caves.

It'll be the same as runecrafting through the abyss before it got taken out. There will be pkers around around the entrance.

To be honest it is unlikely it will be that dangerous getting into the Chaos Tunnels in most worlds, they're not particularly deep into the wilderness and not every world will have a load of PKers covering every entrance. If you're really worried you can always enter the Tunnels through the entrance outside of Varrock used in the Hunt for Surok miniquest.

I believe there's an entrance to the chaos tunnels by entering the broken statue northeast of Varrock.

If you don't want to take the risk, you can go in through the tunnel by the statue east of Varrock. I believe no part of that tunnel is wilderness, and there's a portal that zips you right into the east end of the CTS.

EDIT: I believe you need a quest for that though, but the name escapes me right now, sorry.

thanks for your ideas, i use the house teleport out method, so the only worry is getting into the tunnels so ill probably bring 3 combat items + some food + house tele tab.

do u guys know any other efficient ways to make money?

Make sure to do dailies and farming. MTK as well. That provides a nice steady income. Very efficient as well for the amount of work that is required (not that much).

I doubt you'll get killed. I never died from pk'ers going to the abyss back in the day. Hell, I rarely died from pk'ers when I was at rune rocks.

i think ct's will basicly stay the same.

as for green dragons, its not that bad, more then likely the bots will be worse then the pkers.

I'm a Brony and proud of it!

Well, considering I go there for slayer/bork if/when I go, and considering how much my risk would tend to be at for those.... I think I'll try to stick to the non-wilde entrance if possible and mostly avoid that place. True, probably don't have to worry about pk'ers, but if I'm risking, oh, say 10m, I don't want to chance it >.>

Might change my mind later. Who knows.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

I doubt that you NEED to bring 10mil of supplies to kill Bork, and I'm pretty sure you can kill most of the ct monsters in other areas (If not as well or easily).

do u think there will be less bots in the chaos tunnels after this update (i certainly hope so)

I don't think it will change much really, bots are persistent and if PKers become a problem they could just go through the safe route.

Bleh. I will be pretty annoyed at this; I tend to risk my chaotic rapier, and ~50m of stuff when I go in there for slayer. Guess I have to go the long way through the statue entrance...

I can quite easly kill bork with bandos top, bottom, SGS, and a bunch of monks..

Get some of your hunter/farming/herblore levels up for herblore habitat and make farming juju potions. I make about 400-500k ever 75 minutes or so.

Need? Definitely not. But my regular gear for killing stuff is fairly expensive for risking in the wilde. Anyhoo, I dunno. Bork isn't that great, I only started killing him lately cos I started killing the phoenix and figured I might as well add bork to that.

Might go there for slayer depending on the task, there are some things I like killing there. Thankfully I can always try the non-wilde entrance if needed :)
