Well the thing is that we're probaly not going to meet many elves on the campaign and the druid class fits in terms of flavor as well. So it's just a decision on which kind of nature I want to take my character in. Wild shaping or animal companion.

 

 

Spellcasting isn't that useful at lower levels, so I am just waiting until it becomes reasonable in strength. Also, my focus has been animal companions, but Brightness Seeker doesn't increase that progression either. I would have to take feats to fix that, so it seems a bit of a problem right now without spellcasting or animal companion progression.

 

Maybe if I could get the spellcasting back, then it wouldn't be that bad to take the class. I don't meet the requirements till level 5, so there's still time for me to decide.

I would honestly prefer if you did not. I would advise that you look through the srd for any races that fit what you are looking for. While I have no problem with homebrew I would prefer it if you looked for something that fit what you were going for before trying to homebrew a race (that may not fit with the given setting).

While it is all dependant on Grim accepting, I would suggest that if you want a custom character race that you take the simplest method of doing so, and just find a premade race that somewhat fits your concept and then rework minor aspects and just redo the description to fit what you want. Or you can just give a description of what you are thinking of and I can take a look and see what I can find to base it on (I have way too many sources).

 

Also, if we are having a session today I am unable to attend as I am busy writing an essay on electric car batteries.

Races generally have the equivalent of +2 to one ability score, usually through two +2s and one -2.

The ones that are either human or half human are usually +2 to one. Others are two +2s and one -2.

Resistance I have a question; have you looked into the pathfinder chronicles setting? Before you start homebrewing a race I would advise looking through the existing ones to see if one of them fits your needs. Oh and have you read through the river kingdoms players guide?

 

If you want to homebrew a race then I would advise you to copy and paste the stats from the srd onto this page and then put a second copy up with your modifications highlighted.

Small: High goblins are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.

Fearless: High goblins receive a +2 racial bonus on all saving throws against fear.

Darkvision: High goblins can see in the dark up to 60 feet.

Just put them in as notes for the time being.
