To those saying a fury isn't worth losing 15m. It's an INVESTMENT. You aren't losing the cash. You are putting it to use and can always sell it back if needed.

but just to defend myself. i obviously play differently to a lot of you guys, i dont slay that much. when i trained melee i got a lot of it on armoured zombies, strength ammy gives you the same ammount of strength as fury. thats all i really care about when i play. maybe its cos i played as pure only for 2 years.

He still has 5m left over, that's plenty enough to make your money back.

Fury is a bigger upgrade from glory than a v skirt is to bandos tassets. Also, it is cheaper for better str and added atk and def.

Fury has both, so it is a win-win situation. And we are talking about the OP, so we all say to get a Fury if you can afford it, which he can. 5m is enough to recover with.

You have to remember that when you no longer wish to use most of those items you can sell them as they are all very useful and don't vary too much in prices.

I mean think about it - there's a whole reason the fury has a whopping 15 mil price tag while the str ammy is like 5 gp.

Yeah, you should optimize str but just look at the god damn difference - by trading 2 str points, you get

+10 in each attack style /+15 in EVERY defense style (nice time to sneak some magic defense in) / +5 prayer

 

By your logic - the dragon battle axe is a better weapon then the whip (+2 extra str) but we all know that isn't the case

I am in no way trying to be the smart guy. I also know what I'm talking about. I'm not stupid. There is nothing saying you can't put your new-found knowledge to the test, but I do understand that I have been a little cocky, so for that, I am sorry.

 

OT: I am pretty sure Fury is a worthwhile investment as you can just sell it back when you don't need it. +8 is pretty big in a slayer's eyes, even in regular combat. +10 to everything is not too big, but it does make a difference.

The only prayer upgrade for you would be rigour or soul split, so keep the fury/other gear until you have the tokens.

+ a high enough Dungeoneering level for Rigour.

I can't stand dungeoneering. I want 70 for arcane stream necklace but it literally bores me to death.

 

How can I make it fun and fast? I'm only level 6.

Do not do too much dungeoneering, just unlock all complexities and then leave it. Use Tears of Guthix to train it, and penguin points if you can afford to miss them, and some random xp lamps you might get (achievement diaries etc.).

 

At level 50, c1 all floors you haven't done yet and reset. Then hop into DGS/Dung Smith and ask for someone to make you the gear you need. In your case, that is a katagon 2h sword and platebody, do a regular floor 25 large or something and it shouldn't take much trouble (with 90+ melees people get katagon gear off the starting tables). Once you get a surgebox drop, switch to an empowered fire staff with 125 surges bound (get 95 magic for this). You should also bind a shadow silk hood once you find one. Until you get a hood, I think you'd be better off with a melee weapon or mage top (not a melee top) if you already got the staff + surgebox. Since you need 70 rc for a surgebox you got some work to do.

What good would that do? Dungeoneering is no good without tokens, which are used to buy the rewards, which are only obtainable from actually participating in the activity of dungeoneering.

The xp/hr is low enough at lower levels that the ~10k tokens you lose can easily be recouped in the time you save doing tog instead of floors.
