Darth Fatguy
Firefox 4 easily While IE9 may be pretty fast, it lacks the huge library of extensions that FF has. You can log out any time you like, but you can never leave.
Sbrideau
Google Chrome is the only browser I enjoy using. Every other browser covers up half the screen and is plain clunky.ie9's urlbar is cleaner than chromes current. I'm a big fan of rockmelt. Created by firefox maker, chrome based, and blended really nicely with facebook. Rockmelt looks like a mix of Google Chrome and Firefox 4.To whoever said their firefox was slow on Beta, upgrade to the RC. I have tried IE9 in the Beta days just for the heck of it, and I do not like the ui, doesn't work well for a lot of websites as well. Firefox still showed the websites like it should when it was in its first Beta. And now the RC 2, while I think it looks too much like Chrome, is very nice and minimalistic. The Observer
Probably won't be using it as a primary browser, but it's nice to see Microsoft putting some effort in.

VARN
I use IE9; I have yet come across a situation where I get frustrated with a feature or lack of, which causes me to search out another browser.
Lord Diddy
Firefox all the way, im actually been a part of the beta since it came out. I do say it lags a bit from just beta glitches but overall its very promising. Im suggesting they rearrange things around as it could be a lot more compact and friendlier. old_vuz
Just tried IE9, definitely a lot better than the last few versions. Don't think I'll be switching from Chrome though.
Guest Rob
I use Firefox on my Ubuntu setup, and chrome on my windows 7. I prefer chrome overall, I just can't be bothered to install chrome on Ubuntu. I can't stand using IE though. The only reason people use it is that it comes on windows machine, and so many users don't even know there's such thing as different browsers. jasignhagj
I refuse to use beta, because whenever I switch to 3 for better flash/java, all my privacy settings are reset. But I will be downloading it once they release the official build. As for IE, I will never ever touch it again. Though you can't really blame MS for making it, otherwise people would [bleep] and complain about how 'My computer is so bad it can't do the internets'. Will H
I'm a big fan of rockmelt. Created by firefox maker, chrome based, and blended really nicely with facebook. I use RockMelt, it's especially useful to know the shortcut to hide the edges when you're not using them (Ctrl+Shift+\, or basically mash the bottom left corner of the keyboard) if you're on a standard monitor. When you do that, it's just as compact as Chrome. I will never use IE. That unholy excuse for a browser has irritated me to no end on university computers, and FF isn't much better when you can't customise it. ~ W ~
Dracion1
I've been using the Beta (now RC) of Fx 4 for a while now. Main reason being because of NoScript and Greasemonkey. For those who are still on about speed, I've not noticed any difference in speed between the latest versions of Fx, Chrome, and Opera. "In the beginning, the universe was created. SlayerMalk
Most of these comments are about beta though. While im sure you could argue that a beta is the real thing, it is a mere preview/ unfinished version of what is to come. IE9 has been out for 6 days, FF4 is still in beta although it should be released by the end of the month. So i guess my point is beta is great and all but the real thing is even better generally

OldJoe
Hm, installed it on my dads laptop yesterday. Worked a bit faster and responded faster than previous versions, and a nicer design i suppose. Mainly upgraded just because of any holes it might fill lol. sohkmj1
Firefox 4 is out. My thoughts:I think the universal font got changed. It's got this translucent feel. Do not like. Compare with FF 3 and Google Chrome (Haven't tried IE9).Stupid thing still doesn't start up sometimes, but it may be a problem on my end, seeing as I had this problem in FF 3 (I have to end the process under processes; it's not in plain sight). I haven't experienced any crashing (yet). The tabs are at the top. I understand there are some Google Chrome users who may use that layout, but I've stuck with the tabs being under the toolbar, so I'd really love an option to have it that way. It feels really uncomfortable (I know this is from me not getting used to it, but come on).The menu bar wasn't there when I first loaded FF 4. It can be toggled on-off by hitting ALT, but you can enable it. Seems like an attempt to be more like Google Chrome (does IE9 have this as well?). My antivirus toolbar doesn't work. They'll probably (they better) sort this out, so nothing much there. One good addition though is the ability to add basic programs like MS Paint, Notepad and Calculator for ease of access. Perfect. But in short, my overall gripe is the font change. I'll live with the tabs, the Google Chroming, but seriously? Nothing was wrong with the font. sohkmj1
Well, Firefox 4 has started crashing. I'm not sure if this is a problem on my end, or some obscure toolbar I've installed.EDIT: I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it. The problem seems to have gone away. wioneo
As a web developer I can never forgive Microsoft for creating IE. It has taken a huge amount of progress out of web development in the last several years. Plus, it isn't open source, doesn't support as many open standards (WebP/OGG/OGV), and doesn't run on Linux. Why would anyone ever even consider using IE anymore? Chrome doesn't have fingerprint scanner compatibility and FireFox is not as good as Chrome.
