Anyone remember Doom/Doom II, and wants to play online?

Featured Replies

Even if you've never played before, we can play deathmatch, CTF, cooperative, and more I think but I mainly play co-op.

Go to http://www.skulltag.com to download the engine and the client. Also hit me up on aim. (below sig)

Would be cool if we had a tip.it deathmatch or somefin.

You're not being serious are you... Doom I and II are dead man.

I'm pretty sure I had both when I got my first PC 11 years ago. :?

Yes I'm serious. In fact so are a lot of other people.

It's still pretty active game for it's age.

I'm guess you're one of those people who only play games that need a $10,000 dollar computer to run. :(

Oh well, Doom isn't for everyone. Just thought there might be a couple people on here that would be intrested, guess you aren't one of them :P

Same thing ;)

I like gameplay over graphics by a long shot. And to me, most recent games with graphics lack gameplay and fun. :P

I don't think Doom is abandonware. I'm pretty sure it's still illegal to download...They still sell it in stores (upgraded to work on XP).

Doom is shareware, which is why I haven't locked this. If anyone can provide evidence saying the opposite I will gladly remove the thread

I was taking to Chris for bashing old games in general, I wasn't claiming Doom (II) itself is abandonware.

Is single player Doom in this too? I just want to play the game though, I haven't been able to find it anywhere, been looking for a while....

Metal fans, check out my band!

Still the King....

To get it for PSP you need 1.5 or 2.0 to use it. pspupdates.com is a good site to download it from and read up on homebrew.

Don't use the illeagal homebrew though, such as ISO rips. Suppot the game company.

I bought Doom 1 and 2 in a CD pack a couple years ago. Can I just use that to play all you guys or do I have to download a special doom1 game threw them?

Doom 1, and only Doom 1 is shareware. Doom 2, Ultimate Doom, Final Doom etc etc. are all commercially sold singularly or in a collection, from the idSoftware website. Therefore, while Doom 1 is technically legal to download, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not legal to get any other̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s (such as Doom 2, since it has never been available as shareware).

This isn't a link to the doom GAME, it's the engine and client required to play it online, therefore is legit, and doesn't require closing. :?

It's been around for years, if it wasn't legit someone would have done somthing about it by now. :? :?

I've been playing nonstop :) me and a team of 4 beat all of DOOM2 on ultra-violence. It was crazy. Deathmatches are so much fun :D

If you happen to have the WADs for them, you can use Dooms 1 and 2, Hexen and Heretic with this^.
