brad1431
I have the herby level to make them, and I have a few in my bank, but I have no idea when to use them. Are there any boss monsters I can use them on at my current level? Do you ever use them on slayer tasks?
SirIzenhime
the only slayer task I use ovl on is mith dragons. and dagganoths I guess since I dk. Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
Vex
NexCorpGWDDKSTD In order of importance Anywhere else you think you'd need to brew or invent space is an issue. They do not have a significant impact on slayer tasks. Ext potting every 5minutes is significantly cheaper and unless pressed for space (which you shouldn't be on slayer task). A lot of richer players use overloads on slayer just because they either: Value the herb xp and have the mentality that they are "free" because of the herblore xp, or are just rich enough not to care. http://www.[Caution! Quyneax
Overloads are great for tasks you just want to go all-out on: wyverns, mithril dragons, ice strykes for the mage boost, dks etc. Supporter of Zaros | Quest Cape owner since 22 may 2010 | No skills below 99 | Total level 2595 | Completionist Cape owner since 17th June 2013 | Suggestions 99 summoning (18th June 2011, previously untrimmed) | 99 farming (14th July 2011) | 99 prayer (8th September 2011) | 99 constitution (10th September 2011) | 99 dungeoneering (15th November 2011) 99 ranged (28th November 2011) | 99 attack, 99 defence, 99 strength (11th December 2011) | 99 slayer (18th December 2011) | 99 magic (22nd December 2011) | 99 construction (16th March 2012) 99 herblore (22nd March 2012) | 99 firemaking (26th March 2012) | 99 cooking (2nd July 2012) | 99 runecrafting (12th March 2012) | 99 crafting (26th August 2012) | 99 agility (19th November 2012) 99 woodcutting (22nd November 2012) | 99 fletching (31st December 2012) | 99 thieving (3rd January 2013) | 99 hunter (11th January 2013) | 99 mining (21st January 2013) | 99 fishing (21st January 2013) 99 smithing (21st January 2013) | 120 dungeoneering (17th June 2013) | 99 divination (24th November 2013) Tormented demon drops: twenty effigies, nine pairs of claws, two dragon armour slices and one elite clue | Dagannoth king drops: two dragon hatchets, two elite clues, one archer ring and one warrior ring Glacor drops: four pairs of ragefire boots, one pair of steadfast boots, six effigies, two hundred lots of Armadyl shards, three elite clues | Nex split: Torva boots | Kalphite King split: off-hand drygore mace 30/30 Shattered Heart statues completed | 16/16 Court Cases completed | 25/25 Choc Chimp Ices delivered | 500/500 Vyrewatch burned | 584/584 tasks completed | 4000/4000 chompies hunted

green9090
Depending on how highly you value slayer exp they can be worth using for all slayer tasks. I don't remember the math or care to do it right now, but it's essentially boosting your average level from 122.5 to 125 assuming you repot every 5 minutes with extremes. Gets more annoying and complicated to calculate if you use berserker prayer. But yeah, there are undoubtedly people rich enough to reasonably value slayer experience highly enough to overload every task all the time. One of those guys with 200m herb exp, for example. Quyneax
Ice Strykes....?He's one level from a wolper, not really worth the mention.Well it is, for convenience, as a unicorn over a wolper essentially cuts your prayer use to about 0. While overloads are technically not efficient except to some rare players, they do help (me) to keep focused, to not forget my specials, to keep track of how long a task took etcetera. Overloads are more efficient than repotting/rescrolling every few minutes for sure, scrolling ever minute is almost always more efficient than overloading. green9090
You don't need a unicorn at ice strykes, soul split flashing a tiny bit gets your hp up FAST. When you're hitting 900s it doesn't take much. nastyforinvi
Overloads in my opinion are best used on boss monsters and some various non boss monsters (dark beasts and dragons are the only 2 i can think of off the top of my head)
Georgelemmons
Frost dragons are a good place to ovl too, especially if you want to melee (which is faster). Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
Wkw
IMHO, overloads are 100% overkill for dking. using regular extremes lasts slightly longer, but the downside is that you don't always have MAX boost. Try DKing. If you have EEE and a unicorn, you shouldn't have to re-brew unless you make mistakes. saywuuuut
With the amount I made on route to 99 herblore, every slayer task, every monster, every quest, everything. If you are very limited, I wouldn't use on slayer at all.

Duo tribriding with cannons, and one person using ice blitz, the food we needed was minimal. Unicron and eee covered most healing. It would even be more overkill with soulsplit. Only potions I used xatk and xstr. Granted, xmages would make rex go faster, no extra food was needed. With overloads, you are giving up an extra 400 health every 5 mins, meaning you have to use EEE special to recover from overloads, and the only source of constant healing you have are unicorn and brews, which overall leads to more potions used then just extremes. Just imho. Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
Quyneax
You were duoing . Solo 2.5 >>> duo tribrid, in xp and loot. Obviously overloads don't lose you any health either. I'm thinking you don't really know how ovl works.
